I picked John Lennon - 'other'.

I think "Working Class Hero" is a classic. Smile

If I could have Rod Stewart & The Faces' version I'd agree with you but as i guess I can't it's Lennon for me - Workiing Class Hero, How Do You Sleep and Gimme Some Truth
It's not that I can't find worth in anything, it's just that I can't find worth in enough.

Phil Collins also played congas on "All Things Must Pass" (allegedly).

I must admit it that "Live and Let Die" is my favorite Beatle's song. I've always love Paul after John, but this is exception! "Live and Let Die" isn't only my favorite, but it's one of top 3 Beatle Solo songs!

Every one of them have some good solo songs. But I think that George Harrison was the most humble and most authentic of them as soloist. His "All Things Must Pass" album is very good, and also his "Living in the Material World" album. He also was a good lyricist, very critical of several things in the world.

Paul`s first album was good. "Ram" more or less, mostly for "Uncle Albert", "Monkberry Moon Delight", "Smile Away" and "The Back  Seat of My Car". Most of his Wings period was below the good quality the Beatles offered. But since 1980 (after Wings split) he has some good music, with some exceptions, like his collaborations with Michael Jackson.

From Ringo, I think that his "Ringo" album from 1973 is great. He is also a very good drummer, in my opinion.

From Lennon, I like his "Mind Games" album, followed closely by  his "Imagine" album. By the way, Alan White, Yes`drummer, played with Lennon in the "Imagine" album and in the "Instant Karma" single. He also appears in some tracks from Harrison`s "All things must pass" album, but it is impossible to kwow on which tracks he played.

If  the members of The Beatles as soloists  could be included in Progarchives, I think that could write some good reviews for their albums.

Some say Band On the Run is the best album the Beatles never recorded.

Sorry guys, but i had to hide the post with the full lyrics, it is illegal for us to print full song lyrics.

I was unaware of this law, or at least that it would apply to this kind of forum.  The laws of copyright are intended to stop people profiting from other people's work not to stop them discussing it.  Given that the lyrics of every song ever written are available for free on countless websites, the law seems rather strange.  The song I quoted can even be played for free on the official John Lennon website.

Anyway, assuming I end up in the same place as John Lennon I'll make a point of apologising to him.

I've been smacked down recently for quoting too large segments of lyrics.  It's mainly a matter of legally protecting the site from lawsuits.  I've been told a paragraph or two is OK provided the lyrics aren't just a paragraph or two, of course.

I understand and will restrict my lyric quotes to shorter sections in future.

The law doesn't always work the way it's intended to and I think this is a good example.

Artists thrive by having their art discussed on forums such as this and there is no threat to there income by this sort of thing.

^ It all makes perfect sense when you play it backwards - Pete Best was the Walrus all along.

I think this post answers that question fairly well.

=D
Live and Let Die is pretty good too, but they play it too much on the radio so I'm sort of sick of it.
