"In the court" is my favourite! It was one of my first progrecords and has been important to me!
By the way, isn't "Happy with..." just an EP?? It's a nice track on Power to Believe anyway...

Tough..yeesh. In the Court of the Crimson King surely is one of the best, a fine example of prog at its best. What makes it hard is that almost all albums are superb as we see King Crimson evolving and heading towards something great each time.

"In the Court of the Crimson King" gets my vote. A prog masterpiece and a defining moment of the genre. "Red" would also be up near the top.
But then, they have such a wide and varied catalog that its hard to pick just one.

Islands for the beautiful title track. Although my favourite lineup is the 73-74 incarnation.

Tough choice, Danbo, but I'm with you for Larks' Tongues.
"Exiles" alone is worth it!
Lizard, Starless & B.B.,Court, Wake, & Discipline all indispensable too!

Compliments the "best KC Vocalist" thread.
I've always been most fond of the Bruford, Wetton, Fripp, Cross (Muir) line-up. It's heard to choose between them, but Larks' Tongue is it for me with Starless nipping the heels.
