As you can see by my avy, I'm a big fan. It's just a really great show in so many aspects. I probably quote House more than a healthy minded teenage American should
Ah yes, season 2 for me here although I really enjoyed season 6.

And by the way, the show has some of the smartest, wittiest dialogue I have ever heard on an American television show.

I think it's very brave of a network TV series to evolve the characters like this show has. So many shows on American network television stagnate their characters' stories in order to maintain whatever it is that made the show a hit to begin with. Execs call that a 'formula'. I call it bad writing. So even if House hasn't always hit it out of the park every year, I applaud the writers of that show for keeping it real.

I know this is an old, old thread, but I felt I had to bump it because today I saw the last chapter of the 6th Season!!
What a great series.
So, anyone who saw the entirety of the 6th what are your thoughts on it?

^ I really like the arc of the 4th season ... especially the two episodes about Amber. It only sucks to have to watch it with German lip sync audio ... in German the material known as "Amber" is called "Bernstein", so it took me a while to get the association with the necklace/amulet she was wearing. Now I'm curious what happens next, especially how it affects the friendship between House and Wilson. But please, no spoilers!

I really liked Season 4 and enjoyed the competition between the contestants - it showed House's sadistic/mischevious streak and really let the character play, though it was a pity the guy who played Samantha Carter's father in SG1 didn't last - he was a good counter-character to House. Pushing Chase and Cameron into the background was a good move - they were becoming annoying.
And season 4 had Cuddy's pole dance. ...

The show's running out of ideas now that the original team left. And it sucks that they didn't even leave but they're actually still in the show almost every episode. I liked the competition between the 40 some odd contestents to be on the team, but now its just not as good. I think the first three seasons were really really good....but now not worth watching by anyone other than a hardcore fan or someone who has nothing else to do during the tv timeslot that its in.

Yeah the 4th was a hit-miss season, the 5th is good so far.

I only watch 2 tv shows religiously and House is one of them . Went with the 2nd season because I thought the bit about Cameron liking him was all a bit silly.
I agree about the losing steam though... come on, 13 and Foreman? Talk about bottom of the storyline barrel.

I loved that series, especially the last season. I think that it was a bad move for them to announce that the 4th season would be the last while they were still making it. On the other hand, if the executive had announced it later, we would not have such fantastic episodes as "In a Mirror, Darkly". Oh, and getting back to the topic: I love House ... can't decide which season. Monk is another favorite ... don't like Psych at all though.

It's the destiny of all TV series, especially the Hollywood ones: Lost has become a babel of mysteries, murders and murky acting, Grey's Anatomy is more drama gossip and completing all the possible matchmaking than medical stuff lately (at least that's my dissapointment with Season 4), Desperate Housewives (what was that I liked to that in the first place? ) already bores, I hear Star Trek Enterprise reached 0% audience by its last season, etc.... Dr. House, instead, even if losing steam, could have a nice, poetic ending, compared to other hits in the last 10 years or more...

We practically saw Season 1 and 2 in a matter of months, they broadcasted three episodes each week, on Monday, Wednsday and Friday. With such a great offer, we immediately knew we're gonna starve till the next season will be purchased and delivered.

2nd season by a hair as 1st and 3rd seasons are almost as excellent. This one had House's ex, the boss, the episode with foreman in trouble, and some of the best writing in the show. The first was the most refreshing and had "hello, sick people and their loved ones!". The third, apart from one episode, was consistently strong.
The 4th was easily the least interesting for me. It had some excellent episodes, but the first half, with the choosing the team didn't interest me that much.

I watched so far Season 1 and 2 on AXN Romania (so don't go telling me what happens next ), I like it a lot. The sarcasm is wild (it's the kind I like), but there are also good dillemas and general views over life throughout the whole series.
So far, I can't say I liked Season 1 over Season 2. The first took me by surprise, while in the second the episodes during which Wilson stayed at House's place, plus that Ving Rhames boss fellow tried to get rid of House were...delicious. Season 2 also had some drammatic moments (Foreman's disease), things that weren't reached, as a climax, in the first season.
Oh, I just remember that I love the friendship between House and Wilson. There's something amazing in it. I'm far from knowing my best friend the way Wilson knows House (and viceversa).
What can I say...I can't wait for Season 3 to finally come (on my local channel that is).
