I have started to think about this since Rick Wright's death. I mean in 5 years time probably all of the greats will be gone. What's gonna happen to rock music? I am not leaving this just to prog , but mainstream rock Like The Rolling Stones , Bob Dylan , Neil Young , Aerosmith. It does not matter if you like them or not , but the point is that I don't want U2 to be the ultimate rock legend on earth. Bands nowadays suck. Who's gonna replace the Rolling Stones??.......................................................... The White Stripes????? That scares the s*it out of me. |
I undestand what you feel ![Smile Smile](https://www.progarchives.com/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif) ....sure from now some of the greats will leave us but not everybody within 5 years from now ![Shocked Shocked](https://www.progarchives.com/forum/smileys/smiley3.gif) .....a lot of the ''classic'' stars are in their 60s, still not the end of time yet ![Smile Smile](https://www.progarchives.com/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif) .......ELP still has plenty of time left to produce TARKUS part 2 ![LOL LOL](https://www.progarchives.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif) ![Wink Wink](https://www.progarchives.com/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif) ............and i am sure Mick Jagger has plenty of Rollin Stones tours in mind in the future.............Geez!!!! Even K Richards is still alive....there is still hope ![LOL LOL](https://www.progarchives.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif) ![Wink Wink](https://www.progarchives.com/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif)

That's true...we live in a sad era because we have to just sit back and watch our heroes pass by and there will never be anyone to take their place.

Yeah... R.I.P. From his official website:
"Jimmy passed
away peacefully last night Saturday 11/01/08 at 11:00 o'clock
pm. Jimmy says hi to everybody and he doesn't want anybody to be
sad."

Bah, if there were justice in the universe, all Freaks, Geeks, Mothers, Truckers, Proggers, Loggers, and Froggers would live forever... Here's to you Jimmy...everyone that makes me grin that stupid ear to ear grin deserves the best the universe has to offer. ![Clap](smileys/smiley32.gif) ![Clap](smileys/smiley32.gif) ![Clap](smileys/smiley32.gif) Oops, apparently, I forgot to mention...he was the Indian of the group.

I have met and spoken to Jimmy Carl Black and he is a real nice approachable guy.
Loved the guy.. Yeah knew about his illness years ago, at the time I wished him all the best, then he went on to talk about The Grandmothers to me.
As said before.. Very nice bloke.
Get well soon JCB
