yeah, i remember one of them saying that in an interview in the film YesYears, where they said Yes would be like the London Philharmonic, it'll be an entity that exists even when the founding members cease to exist. but as for a new yes singer... i'm not sure how enthusiastic i am about that idea. as much as i like the idea of yes continuing on and on and on, i'd almost prefer them to call it quits than to end up a mere fragment of their original glory, which, by the way, we are *extremely* lucky, as yes fans, to still have pretty much the original five (original being the mid-70s lineup, not tony kaye and peter banks), when most bands from that era are not even close to their original state these days, if they're still around at all. it's a bit frustrating to think of a yes without jon anderson. i had tickets to see them in Toronto in July, and it was canceled. i hope that tour wasn't my/our last possible chance to see them with jon. |

I'm guessing that the singer from this band named "No" is probably not under consideration.
Seriously, though, I remember watching an interview with the band where they were asked how long they planned on continuing, and they answered that Yes would continue on for as long as it could and that it would be passed on from father to son (or daughter as the case may be). Part of that almost came to fruition with Oliver Wakeman taking over keyboards for the recently cancelled tour. That would make Jade Anderson, a possible candidate for the job.

Yeah, they're replacing him with Les Claypool.
(Just trying to start a rumor.) |

mmm, it would be odd, very odd. Yes has had only 1 singer, that's Jon. With the exception of 1 album with Trevor Horn in vocals.
It would be interesting for an album, but for a tour? Nah, don't think so. |

Hi all,
Last week I received a message from Circa:'s Myspace site saying that Alan White was leaving Circa: to work on a new Yes Project. Then while checking www.yesfans.com i found rumblings that Yes are currently looking for a new lead singer. I know that Jon Anderson is having some health issues and that Yes canceled their upcoming tour. Could this be true? I was wonder if any one out there has more info?
If this is true what do you all think?
