Haha...I'm liking your music taste, especially the likes of Floyd and ELP. I hope you enjoy it here on PA. Welcome! Smile

Greetings, fellow prog-heads.  I'm new here (big surprise), so I thought I'd introduce myself.  This is in all actuality my third post, but like losing your virginity on prom night, we'll j ust forget it ever happened.  lol  Anyway enough bs:  I was first introduce to the wonderful and zaney world of prog by way of Jethro Tull: not their seminal hard rock album Aqualung, though already a fan of it, I always felt its and album everyone should own.  It was ironically their cash cow The Very Best of Jethro Tull (2001) that made me realize the beautiful, varied, acidic and vulnerable majesty that is the Tull.  Along with the most enerjetic live performance I've ever seen, I was hooked.  Then I found PA...and the transformation was complete:  I nearly jumped off the punk/alternative bandwagon for Prog...although you never get punk out of your system.  I enjoy many varied genres of prog although my favorites are:  Folk-Prog, Proto-Prog (a stayover), Post Rock and espially Zeuhl and RIO/Avant-Prog.  Bands include, the aforementioned Tull, Pink Floyd, ELP, Art Bears, Bondage Fruit, KOENJIHYAKKEI, and Le Silo, although I listen to probably every style of music known to man.  One last note, although I may disagree with some ppl on various forums, I see why two ppl who disagree on things can't still be friends, so there's never any hard feelings involved with any critical writing of mine. Good wishes - Hasheten-
