They're a Dutch rock indie band that's been around since the early 90s.. They've toured with bands like Belly, Dinosaur Jr, Buffalo Tom, Superchunk, Come and Jeff Buckley...
They lean closer to British pop sensibilities than riotgrrl...

That is great when you finally track one down, I am the same. Every now and again you look around and one day one turns up. Also what is the album like as I have never heard the artist and if it took you that long I am curious

My 2009 album of the week has been GARGAMEL's "Descending" - these guys improve on their great retro-prog formula from their first album and make it more ballsy, incorporating a higher dose of psychodelia and spacey ornaments. A great 2009 album, indeed.
My older album of the week has been TWELFTH NIGHT's "Live and Let Live", one of the best live prog albums from the 80s.
Kind regards.

Because it is so different for me as I am not a frequent listener of Classical music and it is beautiful.

These have been getting a lot of play this week:
Jazzanova - In Between: Progish, fun jazzy trip-hop type stuff is how I'd describe it.
Mandrill - Mandrill: Awesome funky ethnic fusion, not all that dissimilar to Santana in concept, but sounds very different nonetheless.
Jazz is Dead - Laughing Water: Amazing fusion played by amazing musicians, the collective included T Lavitz from Dixie Dregs and Billy Cobham from Mahavishnu at certain points. None of their recordings have been less than amazing yet.

My album of the week this week is currently Insurgentes - after the initial furor that followed its release back in November, it slipped from my playlist. Listening to it again now is like hearing it afresh, it has certainly improved with familiarity and repeated listens.

You are quite a fine person, and I am very fond of you. But you are only quite a little fellow, in a wide world, after all.

My album last week: Coheed and Cambria 'Good Apollo....Volume 2'.
I read about them here and got all four albums. Listened to them chronologically, but this latest release is a real winner that I'll be listening to a lot in the future. Nice to have been pointed in their direction.
