Exactly.
Wasn't there a list of albums that haven't been reviewed yet? Someone could write the longest ever review for one of them. This made me think of the Simpsons episode where Homer was a food critic. "Screw Flanders!" Edited by Vompatti - August 10 2007 at 16:51 |

I just remembered that I can't write a 10000 word review (or any other review, for that matter), because I don't have any opinions.

This thread has inspired me to write a tediously long essay on 2112 over the weekend and post it as a review. Look for it on Monday!

I have never even considered reading hat Tago Mago review, i just find it hilarious how the reviewer constantly changes his 5 star ratings, as if it were the most important thing in the world to make sure that only the right Can albums have that rating :)

I PROMISE the PA community to at least match Inpraiseoffolly's TAGO MAGO review in word count.... my number 100 will be the one.... I promise it... and it will be free of subjectivity.... it's the latest DT album after all....

I just read about half of Inpraiseoffolly's Tago Mago review. I guess it's well written, but I still won't bother reading the rest of it.

Does anyone read reviews of this length. I know I don't - I feel that a review, amongst all other criteria, should be CONCISE. Less is MORE.

We could create a contest where every proghead has the chance to submit a review as long as possible in the next two weeks, and let's see who wins
But IMO first of all, someone has to beat Impraiseofolly's Tago Mago. |

The best you can is good enough...

Okay, THAT I can totally do.
"I know that a lot of people throw around the word literally, but this album literally made me puke. LITERALLY. I was in the bathroom, on all fours, my face down, my guts in the bowl, my headphones still on...(several hundred words later)...look, I know that some people consider this to be a classic, but honestly, I'd rather drive nails through my feet, and then pry them out with teeth before I'd listen to another minute of this crap."
And it goes on.

I've never written a review of any kind, but this made me think, what
if I wrote a 10000 word review of a really bad album? That would really
take reviews to another level. Or not.

I don't really care.
Infolly's Tago Mago review is impossible to read...at least in one day...I know he shared a passion for long reviews, but that is just out of every good chance. |

Now it would be better to count, in total, the average word count for a reviewer.... Pushing 7000 once is impressive, as is pushing 1500 or 2000 each time (oh mirror mirror, why did I lose the windex?)

A mere seven thousand words? HA! I can beat that.
