You have to take the rough with the smooth..our members can be a vicious lot..
"Artists" can respond to reviews on the forum like anyone else. Here's where we do this:
Though I think it would take a very brave man to even consider this... Edited by Tony R - April 27 2007 at 07:44 |

Thanks everyone, I really enjoyed this intervlew. I hope everyone is enjoying the new record, I'm really proud of it.
I see a review here today that seems to have phenomenally missed the point, accusing us of making the record to appeal to 15 year olds - Joey, perhaps you should introduce an option for artists to respond to a review? No wait, I'd be on here all day long! See you on tour! SW PS - Anyone that has a "target audience" is an entertainer, not a musician. Excellent interview by and with a great guy!
SW is indeed a wonderful person - talented, intelligent, knows what he's talking about - and now we can also add 'nice and friendly' to that list.
BTW: FOADP is indeed a Masterpiece.

I really respect SW. He seems to know that there are always going to be obstacles but he isn't really one to get upset about them. Like he said, he just does what he does.

Absolutely wonderful interview, much better than anything you're going to read in the conventional rock press!
Steven Wilson comes across as an outspoken and truly intelligent artist. I've only just started discovering Porcupine Tree, but this makes me want to find out much more about them. |

Great interview! And I'm not really even a PT fan Actually, I haven't much cared for what I've heard from the previous two albums, but this new one has sparked my curiosity. And, no, not because it sounds more "progressive"
I found his comments about music categorization quite interesting. And I found that I totally agree with his assessment. Good music is good music and it is a shame that on this site we are sort of forced into considering the "proggyness" of music when we rate it. So subjective and unfair to the musicians. But as a prog snob, I can live with that |

Joey, you make us proud. A very intelligent and informative interview on all points. Thanks for asking about radio coverage. He's basically saying that one has to seek out new music these days rather than having it broadcast to everyone free of charge, especially to those who didn't know such innovative music was out there. Way to go, Joey!
