Excellent, Jim makes an ideal Moderator, I think.
I have a shack, Jim, but no shed. But someday... someday... |

Okay, okay. I'll start putting shingles on my storage locker tomorrow. When I get funny looks from the other people in my building, I'll direct them to you. Well done Jim. I look forward to the the infusion of your unique personality to the job of moderating. |

*Wipes milk off face* it wasn't me sir! I swears! And I do have a shed, just in case your wondering, but I do use for such activities as *gasp* storing stuff... Edited by progismylife - April 08 2007 at 16:52 |

Congratulations.
Yes, Tony, as I suggested to our Jim in a PM, I'm only afraid that he WON't be able to be "mad' any more. With all due respect (that's a LOT!) I remember great forum guys like yourself and Bob simply being (and presumably having) a lot more fun, before you took on the responsibility of moderation.
Forum fun and a welcome relief from real-life stress & responsibilities becomes a job, with relentless exposure to the negative (through "report" PMs) and actively searching for abuse/rule breaking. (Ever meet a jaded, cynical cop? How about a peevish HS teacher?)
One also has to "set a good example."
(mixed feelings -- sigh)
Well, again, Jim, my friend (if mods can have "friends" ) you have my unwavering support, no matter what.
Hmmmm... I feel the time for a long-contemplated thread re the role and rewards of moderating has come. Stay tuned....

"And, has thou slain the Jabberwock?
Come to my arms, my beamish boy! O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!' He chortled in his joy. |

Jim - congratulations, and thanks, we needed some fresh wind (pun intended) in the admin team.
And I have a shed, it came with the house 4 years ago, so I hope you let me stay on. Any chance I can just sit at the table in the grey room, instead of sneeking underneath, hoping for spilled drops and falling crumbs? |

A new rule for y'all...
Shed ownership is now compulsory for all members without exception, said edifices to be subject to inspection without notice, let or hinderance. I have spoken, so let it be. Edited by Jim Garten - April 08 2007 at 13:30 |

Thanks for the welcomes guys - it's going to take me a while to get my feet under the table as 'SON OF TERMINATOR', so be gentle with me... this site means a great deal to me, so I thought it was about time I did my best to try to give something back.
Report you? I'm an admin now sonny - I can do a damn sight more than just report you... |

OMG !
Do you lot realise what you have gone & done ?
It took Mary Shelley longer to write the book & now you have given the fledgling monster all the nut, bolts, and instruction manual
Just remember who administers this household
