Hogarth said that Marbles didn't really rock much, and that Somewhere Else will rock much more so! I've heard a forum member on the official Marillion forum say that H's singing on the album is wonderful too! Big%20smile I'm expecting something like Anoraknophobia mixed with Season's End.

I can't wait to hear the new stuff and the only thing I'm hoping for is that "Somewhere else" will have a little more power/energy than "Marbles" had... I love this band for always having made new, exciting albums that added a lot to their ouevre since Hogie's singing, long as they're progressing that way and make me feel their music is ALIVE I'm going to be happy as a kid with every new release
...I'm a musician/singer/songwriter, visit me on www.reverbnation.com/rupertlenz and there you can choose from 125 recordings you can listen to ( for free ) if you're not limited to prog-rock !

Just added the DVD Bootleg Butlins from their 2005 marillion weekend to the site (same show as the Smoke and Mirrors albums, on DVD). should be for sale at the 2007 weekend, so if you go there don't forget to buy it. over-stock will be for sale through Racket records (see website)http://www.marillion.com/music/dvd/bootbut.htm

Well as long as its not a disc of music I'm ok with not having it in my collection. Tongue

So waiting is what I'll do.
Dig me...But don't...Bury me
I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive
Warning: Listening to jazz excessively can cause a laxative effect.

Well they did cover Fake Plastic Trees on one of their live albums (I think Unplugged at the Walls was the one), so that could mean Radiohead has a slight influence, but I don't hear any Porcupine Tree in their sound.

Not sure what I'm going to do. I wish their website had the pre-order. I'd like to make sure the band makes as much as possible.

Undecided at this point.

Well after Marbles I`m gonna have to wait and see because I didn`t think porcupinemarillion worked all that well , so I`ll just wait and see , read some reviews frustrating thing is I know Marillion could still be a great band but this radiohead porcupine tree influence is killing them, making them popular but absolutely killing them Smile

The latest from the band:

It has been a bit of a silent 2007 so far, and we're sorry we haven't
written to you sooner - but it's going to be worth the wait!

As most of you probably know, our new (and 14th!) album "Somewhere Else" is
now finished, set to be released on 9th April 2007, and is one hell of an
album. Unlike previous years where we've had extensive pre-order campaigns,
this album is taking more of a "normal" course into the shops - but of
course we've found a way to put a twist on it.

We will not be selling the album on our website until it's released, but our
friends at Townsend Records will be putting our album on sale NOW for
advance order... and not only that, if you pre-order from them you'll get
Something Else: an exclusive DVD of 3 new tracks from "Somewhere Else"
recorded live at the Marillion Weekend 2007 as part of your order.

This DVD won't be for sale - it's ONLY available if you pre-order "Somewhere
Else" from www.townsend-records.co.uk/marillion - not too bad, eh? What
lovely chaps they are.

More details about the new album and some new desktop wallpapers are also
available at www.marillion.com, and when we get back from the Marillion
Weekend 2007 we'll put up some sound clips, too.

...And speaking of the Marillion Weekend, we hope you enjoy the teasers at
the warm-up show in London, and see some of you in The Netherlands this
coming Friday!

Marillion
