Anyway, I voted for the last option.
By sciences, I mean biology, chemistry, physics, geology, astronomy, and magic.  You know, real stuff that matters today, not old dead people.

Nothing against history though.

I'm a night person, I like the 4th choice best.

Translating Ancient Greek at midnight really floats my boat.

I don't see the connection between morning/night and science/languages.

I am a scientist but I do self studying of history and philosophy (and know 3 languages, 2 of them are native tongues).

I have no problem raising up early in the morning, and in fact those are the hours in whcih I am at my most concentrated, but I prefer the wee-we hours between 1-4 (which in the army and in several jobs I was in, were the hours I was constatnly up).

So all four options for me....

My wife (who listens to prog as well), is a night persona and an historian and is studying several laguages.

SOme other people I know, who love prog, are almost all night persons and mostly are on the "humanity" side of the academia.

It should actually be the other way around.  Math and science are both done better in the morning.  Also, since prog is almost a science, I expect more math and science people to like prog (and therefore more morning people).

It made sense in my head.

Could you explain this sentence further?

I wouldn't call myself a morning person, but not really a night person either.  I love sleeping!  Tongue
And I'm a certified math/science geek - but I also love history.

I'm interested in whether people are night or day people here.  Since prog is music of the mind, I expect it's mostly morning people (and therefore math/science).  But you tell me.
