I got to start looking around the whole site occasionally for these thread gems.
I can't vote for just one. Micky I have talked to more often but I enjoy reading GR's posts as well. You know what if they make it out to California later this year and I get to meet them then I will decide.
Seriously two great people and music lovers. Glad to have gotten to know them.

Well, we definitely are very happy, though still separated by several thousands of miles. However, this state of affairs should be over in a few months. Watch this space (and others) for updates!

I feel honoured to have been part of a bit of Prog Archives history here. It's been a while since I was last here and things have changed quite a bit. I do hope the two of them are a happy couple of proggers. You know, renewing that old flavour of the cuteness of their long past youth.....together at last.

I won't vote here. Actually 'm glad no-one came up with the poll "BaldJean or BaldFriede".

Man, I had totally forgotten about the best poll in the history of PA. I don't think I ever cast my vote. It's just too hard to decide.

Hell, I haven't had the chance to participate in such a prestigious poll. And we were talking someplace else about how "vs" polls are sometimes repetitive... I beg to differ now....
Let's see... With me, it all comes down to, which one of these two have the better knowledge about prog, the most refined taste, the more gourmet-like appreciation for music, the deeper understanding of the inner workings of the harmonic-melodic machine of sounds and noises that music is, and all it means is, which one does like DT the most?
Damn! They're actually both lost causes! But I can say that, while Ms Ghost is more polite and analytical of the New York's band importance in human history, Mr. Mick has a way of cynicism that appeals a lot to my own tactics of creating confusion and chaos in an already devastated world... whatever the hell that means, I vote OTHER......
Both are great. Incredibly wrong but great.

I don't really want to vote on this. Shouldn't there be some kind of fight to death?

The OP..................I like that and Micky it was so obvious.
As for running me off....................naw, I just found another diversion and decided to follow that instead for a change. You know, we all need a change now and again. I'm sure you understand that.
It was fun tugging the chain of some of the young ones though..................
Looks like 2008 is going to be the return of the Dinosaur year what with Return to Forever touring again and of course YES's plan to tour, Asia's new album etc etc..................................
Well, I do hope you are in good spirits.......Oh, and sorry for digging up this old rag again but I could not resist responding. The OP, what a hoot........... |

I've gone for Micky, primarily because he's getting a bit of a pasting at the mo, and I don't think it's good for a fella to head into his new relationship with an inferiority complex...

Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

Looking at the half stack thread in Tech Talk: now that both of you have want you wanted/deserved, isn't it time to pass on the Rickenbacker and the Marshall to me? That we we all would get what we deserve....

You did indeed, but now that I think of it, I could've replaced your name with Raff's and still gotten it right... |

some members we have on this site.... someone digs up an old rag of a poll and people simply continue voting in it...
I'll pass no this one - no matter what the outcome is, Micky got what he deserved (or wanted, or both) in the end. |
