Don't people
proofread their album art? For example, on [booming voice] THE DEFINITIVE EDITION REMASTER [/booming voice] of Foxtrot, Horizons is spelled "Horizon's" on the BACK COVER! Not hidden in the lyrics sheet, but on the back cover--what everyone sees before they buy the album in a store! A cursory glance would have cought that! And on the actual lyrics there are numerous typos, including dragons spelled as "dragon's." All it would take to catch those errors is to have somebody with a reasonably competant grasp of English grammar read over everything earlier than 3 am the night before the packaging is due to start being manufatured. And unless Gabriel was trying to be cute, Lover's Leap really should be Lovers' Leap--One lover leaping would be rather lame, don't you think? And if only one lover leaped, the place probably would not be called that.
On a semi-related topic: I keep seeing the album Olias of Sunhillow everywhere. People are recommending it, and a few people have it in their signature. So the first time I saw it I laughed and thought, what a stupid album title. But now it's creeping into my head, and I can't get it out and it's starting to make me very angry. I'm not sure why--maybe because it sounds like a ridiculously hippie title. (although you would think that wouldn't bother me, with my taste in music. I think the rage has a simpler cause; I can't even explain why. It just makes me ANGRY! Just like the lyrics on CTTE fill me with rage; I'm not even completely sure why. Syd's nonsense lyrics don't bother me; I even got used to The Mars Volta's insane nonsensical lyrics. But part 3 of CTTE makes me want to smash something.
BTW: I have nothing against Olias; I haven't heard I single second of it, so I am not commenting on its musical quality.
Do simple, lazy errors bother anyone else? Does Anderson's writing bother anyone esle? Or am I just crazy?
