...and from the new wave side of the 80's-- I've always loved Haircut 100's "Love Plus One". Such a catchy little tune, how could you not like it.

Not sure why, but I've always liked Kansas'' "Back Door" from Audio Visions. Walsh's vocals are absolutely brilliant.

I started loving it, too...but later on when I discovered that i can feel and act absolutely the same and I'm thankful for those aahh... situations, opportunities, women... it simply fits and is a lot of fun !

Rainmaker - Kansas

Not only this song, but the entire disc. Very underrated in my opinion. (In the Spirit of Things)

I really enjoy the first song, Ghosts, as well.

King Crimson - Moonchild Clap

I just love this song... all the way through. Don't know why.

You've just had a heavy session of electroshock therapy, and you're more relaxed than you've been in weeks.

I also like Grand Parade of Lifeless Packaging ( I think it is about fifty fifty on this track )

I also like Turn It On Again. Now I admit the lyrics are dreadful and the tune ain't much and the vocals are ordinary. The only thing it has going for it is it's unusual beat.
But somehow the total angst fits together for me and I endorse it.
How wonderful to be so profound

Oh? Ever thought about the difference between rationally approaching the structure, melody, etc. of a song or actually experiencing and feeling it? Wink

Let's add to the list: Entre Nous by Rush...

Quite embarassing but for some unknown reason I enjoy Europe's "The Final Countdown" and Nevermore's "The Heart Collector".

"One had to be a Newton to notice that the moon is falling, when everyone sees that it doesn't fall. "

I have no idea why I like the UK-contribution to the Eurovision Song Contest 2006... I even started liking Texas Lightning from Germany... guess it must be fun and, in some strange way, entertainig me... and I love Kate Bush's "Don't push your foot on the heart-brake" ( from "Lionheart" ) and this semms rather unusual !

The "best bass player"  thread got me on a train of through that led from Glen Cornick to "Inside" by the Tull. Now there's a fell-good little ditty if ever there was one!

There are a lot: Surely and Land Ho (Supertramp), Free Four (Pink Floyd), Abacab (Genesis)... are "minor" songs I really like.

Tool - Intension

If you think about it, there's not a lot happening in there, but for some reason it takes me to another world.

Radiohead - Idioteque

I am so excited when listening to this track ... but it just goes through the same chord progressions, the singer whines all over the song, and the drumming line is the same dam' thing.

Rick Wakeman - Ocean City (in Time Machine)

I love how the strings and those loud bass notes make the rhythm. The funny sounding synthesizer soloing is lovely.
