The album wouldn't be bad if they wrote one now. In fact, I think it would be
incredible as always. Listen to Gabriel's stuff or Hackett's. It would be great
to have the band reunited and I'm sure they wouldn't release anything less
than great.
One likes to believe
In the freedom of music
But glittering prizes
And endless Compromises
Shatter the illusion
Of integrity

No, my topic is to know your advices about the always speaking (three times these last days...only

in Belgium!!) of Genesis original (and only audible, gna, gna, gna!!!) reformation.

I'm a always fan of the Gabriel Genesis era ('73), I just miss them for their first concert in

Belgium when they were still unknown in England, driving in an old car, sleeping where they can,

and so on...

My advice is that like great bands of this period, the risk is very great to be a flop : see ELP : their

lasts albums of this period were already limit, but 15 years later...Do they meet Phil Collins??!!

The only one which still plays the same style of music in the band is Steve Hackett; Gabriel, maybe,

but the three others?? They sold their souls to Phil Collins...and to money, easy money...music

for the masses... What's your advice??? A petition for or a petition against???

Why the hell do you say that they sold their souls to Phil Collins ? These kinds of statements are starting to piss me off. They didn't sell their souls anymore to Phil than Phil and Mike sold their souls to Tony Banks. Absolutely ridiculous.

Yup.  Nobody in Genesis was dragged into the '80s kicking or screaming.  The change in musical style was a mutual decision.

From what I've heard, they're only talking about reforming for live concerts. As you say, if they recorded another album together, it may suffer from comparison with their earlier works.
If they do reform for a tour, I'll be there.
