As much as I love Gabriel-era Genesis (with exception of the debut), at the moment it is VdGG! My favourite prog band at the moment.
p.s.: Mr. Gabriel, if you read this: Make a Genesis reunion, bring out the long awaited "From Genesis To Re-Creation" album and you'll be my favourite band again

Genesis vs. VDGG is a no-brainer.

I absolutely love one and my love for the other is quickly becoming absolute. But, at the moment, Genesis.

Although I'm a newbie in the VdGG field, I realy feel that this group is more interesting than Genesis, even Gabriel era. I think that Pawn Hearts is in the same level of Selling England.., for example, but is more intricated and demands more atention to be apreciated. Maybe for this reason some people like-to-dislike VdGG. And what a weird sax!!!

I voted for VdGG, although Genesis are great too. What I don't like about Genesis is that their music conveys too much (only ?) softness and kindness while into VdGG one can find all kind of (admitedly mainly dark) feelings ... I can't imagine Genesis conveying the angry of VdGG's "Arrow" for instance ...
