whtat's wrong with reggae?? you may not like it, but still it hasent
done anything bad to music. In fact i think it is a very honest music
genere, away from all the "disseases" of mainstream pop music.

I think it was neither of them, but the people behind. All those who
see music no longer as a way to express feelings, thoughts and ideas as
its main characteristic, but see it as a way to get more money and
power, disgusting pigs!!

Easy!!!
Jackson (from your list anyway this is an obvious choice) existed well before the other artists - outside the Eagles that is , but that is a bait , you wiseguy.
Safe to say that without Jackson around (and the birth of MTV at the time of his Thriller album) , none ofthe other choices would've had much of a life!

These artist alone didn't make music crappy... Its the problem with the people... People liked that music, triggering a avalanche of artist the same as Britney, 50 Cent etc... Its Our fault, mainly...
And of course, its the fault of those darn green little papers everyone loves most...

Actually, I like Eminem, his music and his lyrics are both good. But 50 Cent is just pure garbage. I can't understand why anyone would need lyrics like that- i don't mind swearing, but some of his lyrics are just offensive and sexist, they mean nothing but trash, and I don't understand how radio stations are allowed to even play his songs. Just look at the kyrics for Candy Shop or Just a Little Bit. I think that's what they're called.

Nah, I'm kidding. Vanilla Ice is funny, Britney and Christina are hot,
and Michael Jackson KICKS ASS. But The Eagles are truly awful...

I'd like to choose Bob Marley, because reggae is the worst musical genre I've ever heard, but I must respect his historical significance. My vote went to Vanilla Ice (Britney was pretty...).

None of these artists had much influence in "crappifying" music. It's like ants: one can't do much, but if you have 1000 of them.
If I have to choose though, it would be Vanilla Ice. Musical one day fly, acting streetwise while I guess he wasn't, and it was strange to hear him talk about the Queen riff he used: he said Queen did dum-dum-dum-da-da-dum-dum, whereas he (Vanilla Ice) did dum-dum-dum-da-da-dum-dum-da-da . And hip hop didn't get much better because of his hit single, I guess.

Please let me know if I forgot someone. I don't have anything against these people, but I feel that what they did influenced music, making it crappier.
