This is not a sub-genre I have much interest or tolerance for. Never have, probably never will. I just get so bored with those long jamming-style songs and their unresolved tensions and overly-long expositions. While I might like something I'm hearing, it is highly unlikely that I'd ever go back to it … of my own volition. Therefore, and not surprisingly, I literally have no bands or albums to contribute to this thread--the only psych/space albums in my All-time Top 600 albums list are:
Everyone Into Position by Oceansize, (but are they really Psych/Space?) Technicians of the Sacred and Jurassic Shift by Ozric Tentacles, Kingston Wall III, Vespero's By the Waters of Tomorrow and The Four Zaos, (aren't they more Krautrock?) I Wash My Soul in the Waters of Infinity by My Brother the Wind, and Nektar's Journey to the Center of the Eye, A Tab in the Ocean, Remember the Future, and Recycled. (The two Pink Floyd albums in my Top 600 are not what I'd consider "psych/space" music: Dark Side of the Moon and Animals and 2020's debut from Magick Brother and Mystic Sister I consider belonging to the Canterbury Scene.) |

I'm fond of that one, as well, but I haven't got it in my collection.

It'll be interesting to see what will show up in this thread, even some bands are very sure.

(1972) Eloy (D) - Ocean (1977) Flower Travellin’ Band (J) - Satori (1971) Grails (USA) - Burning Of Impurities (2007) Hawkwind (UK) - In Search Of Space (1971) Hidria Spacefolk (Fin) - Symbiosis (2002) Hypnos 69 (B) - Legacy (2010) Jade Warrior (UK) - Floating World (1974) Erkin Koray (TRK) - Elektronik Türkuler (1974) Os Mutantes (BRA) - Tudo foi Feito Pelo (Sol) (1974) Ozric Tentacles (UK) - Erpland (1990) Pink Floyd (UK) - Wish You Were Here (1975) P.L.J. Band (Gre) - Armageddon (1982) Vespero (RUS) - By the Waters of Tomorrow (2010) And I hope, you'll enjoy it! Edited by David_D - February 07 2023 at 13:14 |
