I have loved all of those, but then my tastes commonly are on the Avant-garde, experimental side. I have diverse tastes. Progressive Rock has been used as a synonym for experimental rock, some is more progressive and experimental than others, but also it often eclectic. Swans is the one of those that I have been most into over the last few years. It is diverse over a long carreer spanning many albums. I would expect that Swand would have made music that you like, dislike and are whatever about. Often I think it’s about finding that right moment with a band at the right time and in the right mindset. Helps when we’re at our most open-eared and curious often. I have been listening to Swans 1991 more gothic and Neo-Folk album, White Light From the Mouth of infinity (a very post rock title) This earlier one I find a beautiful song, which doesn’t mean that you should, of course. Now I might do a topic on Swans most beautiful tracks. Helpless Child was my first Swans love, though I would not expect you to like that. |

I'm not a big fan of 2 through 6 myself but they're surely the right bands to be there.

All five of those bands are listed as avant-garde experimental bands, so the chances are I probably wouldn't like them.

There are several bands I'd not previously heard of in the final Top 26 listing, including...
Guapo Present Thinking Plague Koenjihyakkei Swans
...but at least I've heard of them all now. |

No problem. I've added on your 8 points for Anekdoten, which I presume is Swedish for "anecdote".

Echolyn are currently on 7 points so they still have quite a way to go to make it into the Top 20.

I'll wait until you have six more bands in your list before I add your points on for Anglagard, unless that's your only vote.
