DT is prog, but to some, it would be metal, due to their heavy sound on recent albums I s'pose.

If I were Petrucci, I wouldn't mind if they called DT just metal instead of prog-metal. Even if DT in fact is prog-metal.

I don't know the circumstances oh that text, but obviously Dream Theater considered themselves as prog. Watch any of their dvds or read the lyrics of Octavarium.

I know that this isn't the topic question, but I know that , for example, Queen never classified themselves as prog, nor the magazines called them prog.

But they are here, so they are prog, so..ehm..
