I'm afraid not. Kitaro, Sakamoto & Tomita are the first three Japanese Progressive Electronic artists who came to mind before I started going through the listings.

Here's a great performance by Sakuraba's expanded line-up (keys, guitar, violin, bass, drums). The really good stuff starts nearly halfway through. |

Arigato. That's another one to look forward to. I was surprised that Ryuichi Sakamoto and Tomita aren't on Prog Archives though.

I love the Hot! Menu album by Sadistic Mika Band.
I saw them at Newcastle City Hall supporting Roxy Music on the 'Siren' tour back in 1975. |

While 2013 was the year he released his last original album of music, the curiously titled What's Up (Musea), Motoi Sakuraba continues to actively score videogames for Bandai and Square Enix. The most recent official soundtrack release is the 2021 4-disc boxset Tales of Arise from Bandai Namco Ent.
Also, Motoi's output definitely qualifies as Symphonic Prog.

Well, you've come to the right place if you want to hear more. At the moment, I'm just listing artists, but starting in January, it'll be all aboard the Shinkansen express for a grand tour of Japanese Symphonic Prog, and from what I've heard of it so far, I'll be very surprised if there are any albums I dislike.

Okay, we're back on track (thanks to Cristi) and we've now reached the letter "N" for Nippon in the A-Z round-up of prog-rock artists from the land of Harajuku girls, love hotels, cuddle cafes, wacky game shows and automatic ice cream robots! By the way, have you ever wondered why you never hear any funky Japanese soul music? I'm guessing it's because "Heaven is in the Backseat of My Nissan Sunny" doesn't sound nearly as seductive as "Heaven is in the Backseat of My Cadillac".

I guess you won't want to see me posting a whole list of Jackie Chan movies here then.
