Wow this post made me put in foxtrot immediately. Supper's Ready still
stands as my favorite song, and it doesn't get any better than Willow Farm.
One likes to believe
In the freedom of music
But glittering prizes
And endless Compromises
Shatter the illusion
Of integrity

And it's Hey my babe
Don't you know my love it's true?

I've been so far from here
Far from your warm arms
It's good to see you again
It's been a long long time
Such a long long time
Hasn't it?

I remember - when I first met BiGi - that we shared a common interest in prog and we started singing together: "Along the forest road / there's hundred of cars / luxury cars ... "

Screw those who don't like singing along together- even on the forums it gives me thrills! Singing together- it's just a really good feeling. Probably genetically inbuilt for me. When a member of the family dies, we all stand round the piano while my cousin plays it and sing ourselves silly to old and new songs. you can't get much more irish-catholic than that.

Yes, they are. Buy "Foxtrot" now, you won't regret.

The scattered pages of a book by the sea
Held by the sand washed by the waves
A shadow forms cast by a cloud
Skimming by as eyes of the past
But the rising tide absorbs them effortlessly claiming

YES!

(HMV usually has a copy of it for pretty cheap, usually 12.99 or even cheaper when they have a sale.)

Six, saintly shrouded men move across the lawn slowly
The seventh walks in front, with a cross held high in hand...

And I am not frightened of dying, any time will do, I
don't mind. Why should I be frightened of dying?
There's no reason for it, you've gotta go sometime.
I never said I was frightened of dying.

Coming closer with our eyes, a distance falls around our bodies.
Out in the garden, the moon seems very bright...
