New Rush Studio Album: - "...the band has reportedly begun the process of pre-production and are in the early stages of writing for their new album which should be ready for release sometime in 2006 pending no delays." - allheadlinenews, Sep. 19, 2005
DVD Reissues Coming Soon: As was previously announced, Rush will indeed be reissuing their three 1980's-era concert films (Exit...Stage Left, Grace Under Pressure Tour and A Show of Hands later this fall. According to a recent news item, the DVD's will be offered in a special box set and then later individually. - Rock Group Rush Set For DVD Release and New Album, Sep. 19, 2005 Rush Mention in the WSJ: In the inaugural Saturday edition of the Wall Street Journal, September 17, 2005, there is a front-page feature story on Bruce French, "an itinerant private chef" who rushed to help tsunami victims in Sri Lanka last year. The article notes that: "When Mr. French found out some local musicians had lost their instruments in the tsunami, he contacted his friends in the Canadian rock band Rush, who donated several thousand dollars for guitars. Although Mr. French 'has a little bit of the hippie in him,' he is 'definitely a take-control kind of guy,' says Alex Lifeson, the band's 52-year-old guitarist." The article also features a picture of a local band holding the guitars replaced by the band, with the caption "After a local band's instruments were destroyed by the waves, the rock group RUSH, friends of Mr. French, donated new equipment Edited by Tony R |

If news of a new DVD was not enough news for Rush fans, the band has reportedly begun the process of pre-production and are in the early stages of writing for their new album which should be ready for release sometime in 2006 pending no delays. NEW RUSH ALBUM IN 2006!!!! |
