Bah. Always forget this is not a place for intelligent and critical thought-sharing.  My posting rate is soon below 2, good.

For me: Erik Neuteboom because I discovered many prog gems because of his reviews.

And Snow Dog, Greenback and NetsNJFan because in my perception they've got a very broad musical taste.

Like myself  .

Wow this thread (that I just opened for the first time, I had seen it but never had time to open it than forgot about it) got a long life.

Thanks guys, for citing me, but I am faking it, as I am a disco fiend , a punk brat and a techno fan> I loathe prog , but I cannot get accepted on any other forum.

As for my votes: I love reading Peter, Easy/Bob, Bryan and Philippe.

Jean & Friede seems to have excellent taste , Jimbo gets a nod, Joren's knowledge is impressive for his age (dito for Jimbo). Without age discrimination Dick has the most extensive knowledge and Trouserpress has outstanding tastes just like Mr. Syz/Gleeson/ygy.

But most of all, the guys with the best tastes are M@X and Ron for having this site.

content to be a doer
as well as a thinker,

rather than un-sheath our sword

Being taste something so personal and unique, with which we are born but developed from our own personal experiences, it's dishonest to say something different than me.

  • If you vote for a person with similar taste to your's, then you're only chosing a reflexion of your own taste.
  • If you vote for a person with different taste to yours, than you have no taste at all and don't know wat you like.

Each person should believe he/she has the best taste, because it's his/her own one.

Ask me who I believe has more knowledge of music and I'll give you some names or who makes the best reviews, but voting for another person's taste, is an absurd IMHO.

Iván

Normal? And people tell me I have weird tastes.................................................

By normal I meant things that aren't to do with traditional prog - more bluesy and jazzy acts. It wasn't a negative thing!

I certainly wasn't reading that in a negative way, don't worry (and thanks for the support), but I'm still trying to translate "normal" in this context ? BTW check out my first show of the season tonight at 8pm bst for some more "unusual sounds":

I'm working on the principle that no one's weirder than prog fans. Except maybe krautrock fans

Anyone who likes creativity has got a good musical taste.

And that's why I don't like punk.
