I wouldn't have voted for any of thembecause I'm with Hackett and Gabriel, but it's unfair, rarely a band has four monsters as Livegren, Steinhardt, Walsh and Ehart (My N° 1 drummer).
And very rarely a group of virtuuoso players with enough talent to do a successful solo career do such a great band work.
They should at least be mentioned.

Why isn't Banks on this list if Rutherford and Hackett are?

Welcome to the Church of Fripp........
For me, Steve Hackett is as uncompromising as Fripp and is more
encompasssing of a multitude of styles and tonal variations......
Fripp sounds like ..................well...........Fripp.

I would say Robert Fripp, because it's one of the founders of prog, and he's still doing interesting stuff. Hammill and Latimer are both tied in second place.

There's no reason for it, you've gotta go sometime.
I never said I was frightened of dying.
