any further proof of the greateness of that group should IMMEDIATELY be dispelled if you look closely at that post.
yeah.. 6 albums in a year.. yeah yeah yeah...
What band gets away with calling their 3rd.. their 2nd.. only because they had the balls to release TWO albums introducing themselves..
not to mention releasing Beatles 65'... in 1964... they weren't merely the greatest group ever.. the distance between them and whoever might be 2nd (and I'd say The Who) is measured in lightyears man.

Van der Graaf Generator-The least we can do is wave to each other and H to He who am the only one. Both from 1970. Also from that year two King Crimson albums: In the wake of Poseidon and Lizard.
Of course Frank Zappa released two albums(if not more)in a single year. Off the top of my head he had Joe's Garage and Sheik Yerbouti(both from1979). I know that's kind of cheating since the latter was recorded mostly live with much of the crowd sound edited out. If not a big deal then we can also count King Crimson's Red and Starless and Bible Black(both from 1974 and another album where the applause was filtered out on the live tracks).

If you are just counting minutes of released music most CDs released today would be equal to 2 LPs (or more) back then...

nice.. saved everyone a Mickdiatribe for overlooking that. For all the forum wreckage that duality caused. Act 1 of the Micky-Ivan forum wars was the fight over the release date of Fragle. After pages and pages of dueling red and blue font I won... and got the release date changed from what it had been (1972 when it was released in the States) to 1971 when it was released in Englamd.
