Yes, but 10 you feel strongly about? That's tougher. For me anyway. My top 10 would have to be bands in which I still enjoy a significant amount of their music, not just a few songs here and there.
Beatles Kings X The Who Journey Sting Triumph Steely Dan Rik Emmett Alice In Chains Mozart
In my younger days, Iron Maiden, Dio, and Queensryche would have made the list but I rarely listen to them anymore. And then there's all the bands on the fringe. Eagles, STP, Doors, Van Halen, Soundgarden, Black Sabbath, Steve Miller, Styx, and others.

I think that's the first mention of the Magic Mushroom Band I've seen on PA. They were from my home town. I think we supported them once or twice. |
Too cool I think they could be included here under Space / Psych, but I must be the only one that thinks so.........

I feel going to ten is a little silly but anyone with any interest at all in guitar should be familiar with Nic Jones' work.

They're on my prog list |
Ah, cool! I always thought there was something really post-prog about BoC. I don't know what it is. But something about them really makes me think about Tangerine Dream, Cluster, Wendy Carlos, Mike Oldfield and the likes. Great band.

Wow, surprised to see them listed here. Growing up in the Dallas/Fort Worth area in the 60s-early 70s, they were like hometown favorites to us. Even now, I can still remember back to when I was in 9th Grade and first heard their new single D.O.A. Man, that was something like I had never heard before or could have even imagined. I know it probably seems rather tame by today's standards but for early 1971 in Dallas, Texas it was really something. Sorry, just an old geezer rambling on.
