Moonmadness is their best in my opinion. They have also have pretty good 90's stuff like Rajaz.

I have heard "Breathless" and its far from excellent (read my review).  Not really a recommendation to start out with.

I actually bought "A Live Record" for that reason.  It really is a great deal, and all the tracks sound great live.

You should defintely get Mirage first, then if you like it, check out The Snow Goose or Moonmadness.

I like Mirage a lot more than I like Snow Goose

"Death to Utopia! Death to faith! Death to love! Death to hope?" thunders the 20th century. "Surrender, you pathetic dreamer.”

"No" replies the unhumbled optimist "You are only the present."

Mirage is, in my opinion, their best album, so I recommend that.

I downloaded a bunch of songs last week and I made some cds and listened to see which bands I should look into...out of the 96 songs I downloaded, I liked Lady Fantasy and Rhayader by Camel the best. I read some of the reviews for both Mirage and The Snow Goose and they both sound like really great albums and I will probably buy both of them eventually....right now I just want to buy one of them to make sure I like the band  So out of those two albums, which one do you think I should buy first? Mirage or the Snow Goose?
