Maybe 3 of those would make my top 100 tull songs lol
All I like is prog related bands beginning late 60's/early 70's. Their music from 1968 - 83 has the composition and sound which will never be beaten. Perfect blend of jazz, classical, folk and rock.

Probably.

But Baker St Muse (esp. the middle section) and Requiem are among the most beautiful music in the entire history of music....

Aqualung, obviously. First song I heard from them.

As for Anderson's choices, not too bad of a list, I must say.
He looks at this world and wants it all... so he strikes, like Thunderball!

Close between Aqualung and Locomotive Breath, but I go with Aqualung. Mostly because Aqualung holds better in it's studio version, while LB is so much better on it's live versions that I'd really rather not hear the studio one instead.

There's a 'Tull "best of" CD where in the liner notes, Anderson states that the collection is what he considers to be the band's best (I have it, but I just can't recall its name). Just thought I'd mention it.
"It just has none of the qualities of your work that I find interesting. Abandon [?] it." - Eno

Aqualung. Nothing is Easy as runner-up. I do like that line about kitchen prose and gutter rhymes, however, Songs From the Wood is a great example of what I consider rhythmically dull in Tull of that period. Ian's cymbals there do nothing to shake me of that.

It's soooo pretentious of him to not include A Passion Play.

Songs from the Wood is rather Gentle Giantish imo. It's also the one I voted for(not just because it's very prog but also I think it's very under rated).

"Songs From The Wood"! Fave Tull = the 'folk' trilogy (SFTW, Heavy Horses, Stormwatch).

As a long time Tull fan, it's hard for me to choose, not only for the music itself, but for all the great, fun memories I have listening to all this songs, and the rest of Tull's catalog. It's like picking who is your favorite child. I like them all, for different reasons, and I simply cannot choose.

You're saying "My God" isn't one of his top ten? It's certainly my favorite by him... cough... cough... them.
