Count me in as another supporter of Clivages. Wouldn't make my top three, but probably would make my top five UZ records.

If you read the reviews here, I think you'll find that it's regarded as quite the album. I still have to hear it.

I think it's their best recent releases, I tend to regard the 1313 through Heatwave as the peak period of the band but I think Clivages is worthy in comparison.

I'm curious what other people think about Univers Zero's latest album, Clivages. I like the album overall, but it's definitely not as good as their earlier albums like Heresie and Uzed.

Oh that sounds interesting.

I heartily recommend it, especially if you are a Yoshida fan.

Well I like Koenjihyakkei and Korekyojin a lot, Ruins less so.

I don't find it as out as ruins. I'd also say less wild than Koenji and more wild than (later) Korekyojinn (and much more keyboard heavy than either of those).

The wayside description is pretty damn apt. A more symphonic happy family isn't a bad way to sell it.

I've been really getting into the new Guapo album in a big way.  Might be my favorite of theirs now.
