Yeah, I really want it. I'll bring it up to my father as soon as he gets home. Hopefully we can work out a plan with it; and I'll have to check how much money I have saved up downstairs. I just have to tell my stingy self that it's something I REALLY want, even if it's hard for me to come by money.

Thankfully, I'm extremely fiscally conservative, so having money saved is good when something like this rolls around. Big smile

Did you see the installment plan?  You could always go that route; I'd be too impatient to do that, but I don't have the financial consideration either.

They had a one bundle when I ordered it.

And why have you waited this long?  I pre-ordered and I'm glad I did.

Somone on RYM had it on the 20th... I didn't get it 'til the 22nd.  Hmm...

Anyhow, so far I've added the first 4 (5 volumes) into the database.  I need to scan the actual covers at some point... I don't have a scanner for this laptop, so I'll have to nip upstairs at some point and use my mother's.

So the covers I've used are the ones from the main box (that someone has scanned in for RYM).

I've not played any of it.  I can just look at it and still be in awe. LOL

But this a sad footnote to all this: Lindsay Cooper is just too ill to contribute and her absence from the liner-notes is noticeable.  Poor lass. Cry

I just ordered it from ReR in the UK.

I got the boxset, plus all the studio albums on CD (I only had MP3 versions previously), for 136 pounds - about $200.  If you only need the boxset, I think it would be about 89 pounds.

edit:  89 is only a little over $125, not too bad actually

I'm on their website right now. Do you happen to have a link/URL for just the boxset in 1 bundle? I can only find the split versions.

They don't seem to have a 1 bundle link, but just order the two splits.  You want to do this anyway, as you already have Stockholm (right?)

Oh, you're right. Thanks!

Hmm... I'll have to turn this over in my head and see if I have enough I'm willing to spend on it right now. If I do have enough, it'll break me probably.

I hear it comes with a free pair of red socks.Wink

Shocked

That would be really awesome. LOL

I've listened to some CD called "Love music on the beaches of Rio, vol.1", and it's Dead

This Henry Cow Box set is amazing!  This is going to take me ages to go through... and erm... once last.fm has registered it all, it could well see Henry Cow at the top of my playlist.

I also note with interest there's a bar in Milan callled Henry Cow and there's a photo of the sign supplied by Luciano Margorano of La 1919!

That's epic.

Oh and they've sent me a new case for Stockholm & Goteborg that corrects the information on the original. Big smile

Plus I have a limited edition of 750 of another CD with my name on it!

Well, not on the actual CD, that'd be asking too much... but it has a little certificate type thing. Big smile  It says Limited Edition of 1000 but then it says I'm 253/750.

Now I'm confused. LOL

So they did get the box out before the end of January.

Nice.  Now it's time to order.

Blah, I'm too tired to go to class.

At least it's philosophy, which is interesting.... classics, though.
