Okay, the group I was in was dancing at a costume party and one girl said, "I'm gonnna play a slowdance song and I want you and Helen to dance." We were forced to dance with each other and Helen (because she is shy) left early in the dance (she made excuses such as getting a drink). The same thing happened again (we were forced a second time). Then, a while later, another slowdance was played and all of my and Helen's friends were encouraging me to ask her to dance with me. I got the courage and we danced for the whole song. It was one of the greatest moments of my life. Eventually she started to look into my eyes and smiled... and I felt so relaxed and at peace with her. I really liked her before, but now I'm convinced I'm in love. Whenever I think of that moment, I get this weird feeling in my stomach/chest.

How's that for romantic?

I'm not much of a romanticist. I don't what I am. I just like being wierd and freaking out sqaures, being a awesome, listening to good music, and hanging with friends. My life isn't very romantic when I look at it. I like poetry a lot, but mostly beat poetry and the wierder stuff that probably wouldn't be classified as 'romantic'. I'm just myself, I'd rather not classift myself in any way.

Perfect qualifications I'd say.
And thrift stores can be very romantic, if used in the right tense...

I think that's pretty common for proggers.

I think it is very good to "test" some of our features before marriage. I bet those "not until marriage" persons has pretty rough honeymoons. Marriage is ok, I guess, though I have no intentions to get idem myself. The way I see it, live toghether is good enough. Marriage is expensive and problematic. Only if you are too religious or in troubles because of taxes.

Sorry to come back to this subject, but I've been away for a couple of days, and was unaware of the offense I'd caused by referencing such a despicable film whose only intent is clearly to undermine society's moral base.

Just a couple of things:

1 - when the two main characters get together, they are single men with no ties - the whole premise of the movie is what happens when they go their separate ways, and meet up later when their lives have changed completely. It's an age old story about old flames meeting again after years apart, given a new (subversive, evidently) twist.

2 - the story is beautifully told, scripted, filmed & acted.

3 - it is only a movie

Um, I was in the tent with another GUY, and I don't lean that way. So stupid, the whole troop had such a good poker game going on, then staff shut us down. Something about being "past lights out" and "disturbing the camp" or some such crap.

Lights out is never when there are cookies, coblers, and shotguns!
