Wow, I don't think anyone here predicted Costa Rica in the quarterfinals...

Are you still watching? I won’t blame you if you’ve fallen asleep. Penalty shoot-out now, and I don’t think any of the teams has any experience with that.

I feel sorry for Costa Rica now. They should have had a penalty at 1-0. Instead they are reduced to ten agianst eleven and have to play for 30 minutes more.

What a good equalizer by Greece. I see Greece dominating possession and the chances in Extra time.

Hurrah! The Mexicans were tough opponents, though.

Mexico seemed to give their all in the first half and were clearly the better team. They either were too tired in the second half or Holland was just too desperate to pull this one out. They left it late enough didn't they? What a comeback!

If you have played you know that if you don´t fall, you can break a couple of bones.

I came late to the game, only seeing the last 15 minutes. Sneijder’s
goal was fantastic! As for the penalty, I’m not sure. I think nobody
would have reacted if it had happened outside the box and the ref had
given a free kick to the Netherlands.
But congrats, you Dutch people out there! You may even win it all!

I think there was a case for 3, but the way he flings himself to the ground afterwards is atrocious and probably also why he didn't get the previous ones. He is one unsympathetic dude, that just so happens to play for my fave team... Oh well it could be worse. If I rooted for Portugal I would have to put up with Ronaldo.

One deserved penalty, the one in the first half, the other two were pure dives with minimal to zero contact, FIFA should fine him for bringing the game into disrepute. He's the reason a lot of people hate soccer. He's horrible.

Wow that was just a wee bit too close for my tastes! 10 minutes to go and Mexico in the lead.....and then this happens.
And Robben finally got his penalty. It would do him good to read the story of the boy who cried wolf methinks. 3 deserved penalty kicks yet only one received. Says it all really. Too much of a primadonna to be taken serious, even when he's in the right.
