Agrégats

Guido Del Fabre : Agregats

I heard this interesting  record the other day in a Parisian mediatheque and when I asked the librarian for the reference he asked me if I would be interested in other records from the same Canadian label Ambiences Magnetiques they had just received.

some samples on the labelwebsite : http://www.actuellecd.com/fr/cat/am_167/

 I took also:

Musique%20pour%20objets%20en%20voie%20de%20disparition

Diane Labrosse: Musique pour objets en voie de disparition

samples :

which is very good and funny!!! .....with the cooperation of Marie Soleil Beranger and Benard Falaise from Miriodor

 and
%28juste%29%20Claudette

Michel F Cote : (juste ) Claudette

haven't listened yet .... interesting label!

Great work, Assaf! Clap

I still haven't got around to check out this band, but they do sound incredibly interesting to me. Keep on with the excellent work!

Hey Jake.

Yep, I think it's those two I'm after...

I'm after the two live albums that contain the two versions of Facelift that formed the version on Third.

I have a lot of live Soft Machine but neither of them are those two, I don't believe.

That is another one I'll have to get at some point, too.  The samples from it on their myspace are really good! Big%20smile

Plus it includes that DVD, doesn't it?

Well my next Wayside order (which shall be a while yet... my current one still hasn't arrived, I fear it may have got stuck in Customs Ouch) will consist of the following:

Kultivator - Barndomens Stigar
One Shot - Dark Shot
Magma - Kohntarkosz
Volapuk - either the debut or Polyglot... we'll see when I make it
Die Knoedel - Die Noodle! or their second album or Panorama (if they have them... if not. Greg may have them)

And something by Soft Machine, most likely... one of their live albums.

Oh and if anyone can find anyone who sells the following, I'll be eternally grateful:

Katzen Kapell - Alla Hatar Min Man
Katzen Kapell - Si tu veux
Dun - Eros (going to be hard to find this)
One Shot - One Shot (Wayside don't seem to sell it)
Six Cylindres en Vie - ...Dernier cri

I recommend Virtually and Noisette, Virtually if you like the material from Fourth.

have you tried Amazon.com?  I found they are around the $20 mark.  At one time they had the japanese mini-lp cd reissues over at wayside.  but they are not cheap.  However, they are certainly worth it imo.

I've looked around myself, and with a lot of these bands, if you want the CDs you're going to have to shell out a lot I'm afraid.  I settled for getting their albums from emusic and sacrificed sound quality (and not really) and the physical medium for a vast reduction in cost.

I might also want to grab Dark Shot and Volapuk in my next Wayside order as well - but because Dark Shot includes that DVD it's fairly pricey.  Might have to order from Greg soon as well because he's the only one I've found who has October Equus.

edit:  might also throw The Red Masque onto that Wayside order.

Great reminder!

Also, to add to my list of CD wants, if someone finds a copy of that Pocket Orchestra album, I'd be a happy guy too. Big%20smile

Just for the record: Rate Your Music lists an album called Listen to my Heart under One Shot's discography and judging by the cover art, this is NOT by the same band. Cry

Clap  Awesome, you won't be disappointed in the slightest with those two!

I am also quite dreadful at not buying CDs.  Embarrassed

Hehe, yes.  I actually need more shelves now. Embarrassed LOL

James should be pleased, I ordered Kultivator, 'Bardomens Stigar' also... Tongue

(Plus F. Thollot on his lonesome, 'Ceux D'en Face' ('Ceux' seems to be a popular word...) and - offtopicklye - Arti e Mestieri, 'Giro di Valzer Domani'.  I loved 'Tilt', so why the hell not. Big%20smile)

I did - better than Elixirs, not as good as Black Oni.

Black Oni (can't quite bring myself to call it 'BO'...) is still my favourite too.  Hmm, might have to throw that on next... hardcore listenin' in progress here today!!

You are not wrong - and he's really good on 'Contact'.  (Well, they both are!)  On that album he (Jeand'heur) reminds me a bit of Vander here and there...

Only got through half of Ceux de Dehors last night but already I vastly prefer it to 1313, the only other UZ I've heard to date.  Already I can tell it's a masterpiece, look forward to hearing the rest.  Heresie is also ordered and on its way, so I'll give you my take on that when I have it as well.
