If you really love someone, you should be happy if they are happy, EVEN IF THEY ARE NOT WITH YOU (catch the emphasis there? )

I can see being depressed, but angry at them? A silly romanticist should know best, the girl may have strong feelings for someone else that they don't want to abandon for you

That's partially why I've given up, I feel like if I like someone/"pursue" them as it were that I'm being invasive and putting them into a situation that they don't want to be in....

Don't give up hope

Wow, a lot of those guys must be total pricks to get pissed off at someone for not liking them. Me? I take the depressed route....

Okay 2 things a) I'm not gay, never will be and b) even if I had a relationship I plan to be celebate until marriage

What I meant was, I've given up on even attempting on having a relationship. And no, don't give me "advice", I don't want this to turn into the "WOMEN" thread again, so everyone just keep posting like this post never existed

Um, really, you didn't notice? The women I know seem to be really bad at men's signs (no offense, but I dropped hints like crazy to Hope, and she was still really suprised when she found out I liked her.)

Big smile

Sadly, it is only her picture. Still, good luck with that slow dancing. If she slow danced with you, then the idea of you must be something she doesn't hate. Now, get clever.

Yes, fool her into liking youWink

Seriously though, that sounds like it's good news if she'd even consider dancing with you at all, let alone enjoy it.

I think I'm the silliest of them all: I pursued my actual girlfriend for three long years. On those years, I wrotte bad romantic poetry, I spent a lot in silly phone calls, I tried to find her among hundreeds of people in the middle of a popular religious party, expecting some sort of magic encounter that never happen, I sang a couple of songs, both silly. She only took me as boyfriend after being accepted in a very far university; I travelled for 6 years every three weeks to spent time toghether from late friday to early monday and now I'm pretty much broke since I spent lots of money on those travels, plus, I only had temporary independent jobs in all that time, since a harder schedule would have made impossible a relationship. And I think it was all worthy; no regrets on anything, though right now I'm temporary screwed up, I have her at my side and that is the only thing that makes me a happy person. Now things are a bit different; she is close finally, no more travelling across the country, no more little time, and, as a couple, the whole experience has made us really really close. Pretty much like "Arizona Dreams", on that final esquimal scene with the flat fish. ¿Silly?. You bet.

That's not silly, but really romantic.

I'm about to give up after only two years, guess I'm not romantic enough.

¡Never give up, progger!, unless she throws hot oil at you. Fight, be clever, use your better tricks, learn new ones (for exmaple, how to cook beautiful desserts). Take a look at what male birds have to do in order to be accepted by their female possible companions. ¡Now go back there and impress her!. If she is not married or in a very long relationship, you better waste yourself until getting her or die trying.

Wow, I only have one year. Im not very good with women, the girl I like is the most wonderfull that I'veen met in my life, I want to do it right. I know her interest, and we are very similar, but the words never came when I want to talk with her, Im to bad speaking with people and with here my nerves dont let me make a good conversation.Im a very romantic person, but my fear dont let me be myself (I know, that sounds very VDGG, but is true). I had to work in that, I think that I still have some posibilities in the future, just I need to became a more secure person.

Don't wait too much. The only way to do things is leaving fear aside and just go. The worst thing that might happen is you getting a "NO". Mmm... a "God no!" is a bit worst, though. I tried for 3 years, yes, but I told her about my feelings only two months after I met her. The rest was all improvisation on some bird behaviours. Birds are a great guide. Spiders aren't.

Not on this country. Latinamerica has a serious issue with "Machos". Read the first chapter of the "Labyrinth of loneliness", by Mexican writer extraordinaire Octavio Paz. That pretty much goes for all Latinamerican countries, though his observations on this text are referred to only Mexican population.
