Sigh....prog, the constant game of catch-up and belated discoveries! No to both of those particular ones, my friend! Although I am spinning our old favourite `Terpandre' at work right now! I'm itching to give that Rhun album a fresh spin again too, it's been a while between drinks for that one for me.

Et Cetera - s/t Tatran - Shvat (Fantastic album Sagi ) Indignu - Odyssea Vespero - Lique Mekwas (And so is this one. I hope it will not seem as lenghty with more spins though) Gentle Giant - Octopus (These surround mixes take their quirkiness to another level, especially on "Knot" )

Is this album good? It's some of the musicians from Fields Of The Nephilim right?

Cos - Postaeolian Train Robbery. Wow, just wow. I had already listened to this album, but this was a good while ago. I've recently came back to Cos through Viva Boma, which I enjoyed moderately. I decided to give this one a listen and I was blown away. I can hear elements of Canterbury scene as well as Zeuhl alike. And it's such a good fusion of the two! It is built on a solid foundation with excellent, skilled musicianship and superb, fascinating, unconventional compositions. This does not sound like anything else in its use of instruments and arrangements. This one is a real gem. Love at the first hearing, eh? Can - Tago Mago. It was not my first encounter with Tago Mago, I must admit... It was my second encounter with this record. I had always sort of dismissed Can, presuming their sound is a bit dry and uninteresting. Could I be more wrong? No! Man, I was stupid as hell. This is such a great work with perfectly balanced songwriting (the word "song" might not be appropriate here, a piece perhaps), phenomenal arrangements, and just simply spellbinding atmospheres and moods. I must listen to more Can, because I have been missing out! So far so good, two great albums in a row! Comus - First Utterance. I have loved this album since my very first encounter with it. A few teens of listens later, I still enjoy this one utterly. I use this term a lot, but its unique, dark, pagan, ominous, disturbing, ungodly atmosphere is what makes this album extremely enjoyable for me. Sand - Golem. Ok, why does this album have an avarage rating of 2.44 on here? I can't unterstand. I really like this one. It's somewhere in between Ash Ra Tempel and Can with hints of Broselmaschine. Even the vocals bring Damo Suzuki to mind. This is some serious stuff! And although the various electronic effects might not be fully successful and musicianship not top notch, the soul, emotions, and the ambitious vision really come through on this one, if you will. This is highly recommended to fans of the so-called "kosmische musik" - Sand fits that description in the most perfect way one could imagine! I think it's a very successful effort and I wish we could hear more than just one release from these guys. Association P.C. - Earwax. I've mentioned this one a few days ago, too. It's a perfect crossover between avant-garde post-bop in the vein of John Coltrane (Love Supreme-era), Charles Mingus or Rahsaan Roland Kirk. It's mainly centered around guitar work, similar to that of Wes Montgomery, Grant Grean, and Kenny Burrell, but has some beautiful parts from electric piano and solos on the upright bass, which is a nice touch. It's pretty diverse in its own ways, too! Tangerine Dream - Alpha Centauri. I decided to listen to this one just for the sake of hearing more "kosmische musik" today. Although people often, quite rightfully, too, say that Alpha Centauri is sloppy as hell, I think it's one of the most magical journeys Tangerine Dream has taken us on! It has such a nice variety and it sounds like it was accurately thought of and recorded with great care to detail. I really like it.
This was my day, pretty good, in my opinion. I think, however, I need some more Canterbury now. And yet, I want to investigate krautrock even further.

^Sam I honestly can't remember when was the last time I got so excited about a band! And the fact that they are a local band makes me also very proud.
I can describe their music is being an eclectic mix of psychedelic fusion with some maybe post rock influences while the music is complex and extremly tight, but honestly this hardly captures what they're all about. They are only three guys with amazing chemistry between them (their studio album was recorded live in the studio with no overdubs which is quite unbelievable regarding the music), and they have one of the best drummers to grace the prog world imo. When I've listened to the album I was so surprised of how different it is from their live shows, they have a few songs that holds improvisation parts inside, so every time they play those songs it comes out totally different and that's what I appreciate them the most for. The band issued one studio album and one live show, they are both outstanding so go for what you want, both albums are on bandcamp.
