Yep, I really dig that Saffran clip as well. Forgot to come back and post though... My brain is currently dormant and hanging out in the sock drawer.

The last bunch of artists posted have all been ace, especially Saffran. An acquaintance on Facebook tells me they're apparently part of a pseudogenre called "ZOLO" or something similar.

This album was released in 2004 but it was actually made in 1974 and is not crossover but Krautrock

Yes, the cover is stunning, but the music is rather difficult^

^I've been searching for that one for ages, Pierre!!
I really like the cover, and the two doll's feet make me think of Tangerine Dream's debut Electronic Meditation.

One of the most prolific raters of obscure and mad music on RYM named Tovan ranks this one among the very few 5 star albums in his position. So many people, so many ears, so many opinions - and thank ford for that!

Tom, could it be that....it just cruises along, all perfectly pleasantly, without making a really massive impression? It's a very cool album to unwind to, or have playing in the background, and maybe that's all it can ever be! Damn nice all the same though! |

Things that cannot be unseen: The fact that you can't spell Kraftwerk without "twerk".

Pierre, Dave - I got to give the first few tracks from that Morpheus album a quick spin on the way home, it's wonderful!
I love the second track: Like a few of the reviews on here pointed out, very much in the style of Kraan. I love how the above track jumps back and forth between mysterious, playful and dangerous all in barely five minutes! The perfect soundtrack to a nice breezy warm night like tonight. |

Is that you Patrick Duffy? I really dig that avatar - as well as the terrifyingly bad humour on display

At one point it was my go-to YouTube album If you've ever heard the equally German fusion act Aera, then you're not that far off in regards to flow and sound. I do consider this one a tad more psychy, but maybe that's down to the recording itself. I read somewhere that the tapes were run at the wrong speed when it was recorded, and only in recent years with a complete remastering job has this 'bug' been made up for. In any case, I really dug what I heard on YouTube, and I gather that was from the original album.

Thank you, Pierre! Extra points for your sly `Matrix' reference!
There was a sticker on the front written by the shop that said `70's instrumental prog jazz', so I figured I'd take a chance on it! I did recognize the cover straight away, so I hoped it was good. Apparently this version has a 20 minute bonus track too. |

Probably not exactly Krautrock, but I'd be interested to know any opinion on this jazzy one, I picked up the CD today second hand for a few dollars:
Morpheus - Rabenteuer (1976) http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=6472 Thoughts anyone? |
