Woke up to the greatness of Stevie Wonder only last month but better late than never, Innervisions is easily amongst my favourite music albums overall.

Your just now discovering Pearl Jam? Have you been under a Prog Tree eating apples or something? Perhaps a Prog den hybernating to the sounds of VDGG? or maybe it was a rock... Stern Smile

Haha, seriously though, I'm a huge fan of PJ. Although I've never understood the "greatness" of Nirvana and Sound Garden (namely Chris Cornell) I think they both stink to our biblical heavan... to be perfectly honest.

My greatest discoveries this year (and there have been many discoveries)

Opeth (Yeah I know... I need to get with the times)
Anathema
World's End Girlfriend
Arcturus
Tiamat (not prog)

I also think I should honorably mention Deftones, even though I don't think much of them so far, I can sense it becoming a big thing. My girlfriend tried to get me into their album "Saturday Night Wrist" and I'm starting to really like it.

Being something of a Bungle/Melvins fan, I tried out the Fantomas Delirium Cordia (is that title right?) and it's a bit too abstract for my tastes.  I'm determined to give it another try down the road.  What am I missing here?  Maybe I need to put on my "ambient ears".

I also got the Fantomas/Melvins live album, and it's pretty great.

Yes she is beautiful - nice voice too.

Do you happen to know how he gets those tones on that guitar?

I'm not a musician so excuse my ignorance, but it sounds like an electric violin in some places and a clarinet in others - to me anywayEmbarrassed

If you do know please post. Thanks

I'm not a musician too so I can only guess. In album credits (http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=23524Roland guitar synthesizer is mentioned. Or perhaps some effects/processors used to make guitar sound like a clarinet.
Thanks - it's really obvious now you point it outTongue
