I'll take a wild guess you had no issues with (how can I put this? ) being regular the day afterward... |

Doc, yeah i'm in MN.....flyover country....but we do have a surprisingly amount of craft beer activity. With our winters, people need something to do

By the way here's the picture I took last night of that Green Flash IPA, just so you can see the floaties. Talk about unfiltered!

The local brew fest was lots of fun.....over 30 vendors giving out samples in your little plastic cup....too many to name but there were some interesting ones:
'The Dude'-a White Russian java porter and they also had a chocolate vanilla porter that was very good-from Crown Brewing.
'Neptune' a delicious summer wheat beer by Four Fathers in Valparaiso, IN.
too many others to name and I forgot them anyway.....

I just spent a couple weeks in a dry camp and am going to rectify that by getting roaring drunk tomorrow. Will notify if I try anything new.

Going to a local beer tasting festival tomorrow. About 30 local micro brewers will be there from a tri state area.

In any case, I would be going slightly overboard as well, if I was coming from a country where Pripps reigns supreme... |

I tried Nogne O's "100% Peated" beer today. It's honestly probably the most intense beer I've ever had. Very interesting.
just read the description to get an idea |

Wouldn't mind a cold Ringnes right now, but alas, my current situation dictates I must abstain from alcohol the next eight and a half weeks. I'll have some when I'm back home and starting my four weeks summer holiday. Edited by The Bearded Bard - May 02 2014 at 17:50 |

Ah yes, the festival of not being in Sweden is a popular one for Swedes getting drunk. Then they generally don't so much need a festival just an opportunity, or more accurately: a ferry and an opportunity... well, just the ferry really, or having spent all their money on Danish elephant beer: a row boat...

Looking back now, from a sober pov, I may have pushed the envelope of what you can say to a fellow Scandinavian. I love the Swedes - even when they're karate drunk, which does tend to happen frequently on such festivals. The Danes are just as bad though

I've heard Swedish guests are almost always drunk on such occasions ... this may have protected you in the light of such regressive territorial claims
