Yes..I agree on that... none of the bands in that 'prog related' section are really prog rock bands imho. And if you notice the 'prog related' and 'proto prog' categories on the banner page even have a different color highlight setting them apart from the other prog categories. Hint....they aren't actually prog but we included them to make the forum more inclusive since many of them are huge bands and it would piss off too many people if they weren't here. |

Ya know, This feels like a root canal that won't end. You stare at the light above, grip the arm rests with all your might, try to sink deeper in to the chair & pray for the sweet release of death which never comes...

It doesn't count because the umlaut is an integrated part of the German written language. The British/American bands just used it because they thought it would look cool.

So Rush started with some proto-prog, did a bunch of albums that very very prog, then eased back into not much prog.
How does that differ from Genesis?

Trust me. I know what I'm doing.

I always thought Rush were a Hard Rock band before I joined PA, but maybe I was being a bit Rash.

Then to alleviate any more doubts about Rush's credentials, then all we need to do is ask Geddy and Alex to start using the name:
