Sure Micky, my eyes ARE open to the world around me.  I spend a lot less time on this site than most nowadays.

Right now I'm watching my country's newly elected brainwashed leftist government offer $1100 per month to economic migrants from the middle east, which is more than taxpaying citizens with financial need would ever be able to get.  Never mind that only rich ones can afford to cross the ocean and come here in the first place.  It's leftist signalling plain and simple; people like that never believe in any of their causes, they only push them to show off how progressive and "moral" they are.

Yeah, I see the world around me and it doesn't resonate well.

sorry man... save that bullsh*t for others.  I am a veteran.. served proudly and in return and did things 'for my country' that scarred me.

permanently. I'll never fire a gun again.. even if my life depended on it.

When our Vice President in trying to drum up a phony war of expansion. Economic and political, questioned the patrirotism of those who disagreed with our 2nd attempt to gain access to Middle East oil and said it was un-American to not agree.  Don't tell me Nationalism is dead.  Nationalism has killed more people than religion, and is VERY dangeriously alive. Both here, and in the former Soviet states.  If you don't see it, you should stop posted on a damn prog rock forum, and perhaps open your eyes to the world around you.

I don't know where you live, but nationalism is non-existent in most western nations.  It's been replaced by the cult of globalism/multiculturalism/open borders... no matter where the party lies on the political spectrum.

And of course everybody who disagrees with you must be a "14 year old in their parents basement"

The reason "fascist" is always the pejorative of choice for leftists to attack their political opponents is that fascism is the only historically effective counter there has been to communism.  Effete pinko Antifa (et al) twerps absolutely can't stand that idea.

They know that these people aren't literally fascists, but they can't think of anything they consider worse than fascism so it's their favourite insult.

communism? sh*t man. That is so 80's. Where you even alive when we lived under the Red threat.  You strike me as a 14 year old in your parents basement.

why it is bandied about as it is.  Something Rush and his cronies at Fox News hate.. hell all conservatives hate.

facts man.  NOthing more factual than a definition

fas·cism
ˈfaSHˌizəm/< height="14" ="" width="14">
noun
noun: fascism; noun: Fascism; plural noun: Fascisms
an authoritarian and nationalistic right-wing system of government and social organization.

you are blind if you don't see that, to a degree, in the politics of the right here.  Look no further than their putrid, almost comedic attempts to 'govern'. Compromise it is a sin, worthy of ostracization from their ranks, those against them are the enemy,  flag waving jingoism hyper-nationalism.  A definite and long established campaign ersecution of ethinc and religious minorities through the oldest play in the play book.  And a favorite of Fascists everywhere.

Fear

Whoot!!!  This is what some think of as the land of the free. It is, the scary part is we give those 50% here the freedom to ruin this country.  Hell... it is Germany circa 1930's here man!  Instead of Jewish, we have Muslims, though intellectuals (another term for Liberals in the Right Wing playbook) and non white are still on the neo-Fascist hit parade hahaha

Reactionary hogwash? Why, because I think people should take responsibility for their actions, for their lives and for the cultural indifference which leads to looking for mimetic scapegoats rather than accepting the fact that blacks as a proportion of the population account for a majority of the crimes, whether against people of other races or against that of their own?

When a delusional group of people march about shrieking "black lives matter" and then set fire to their own neighborhood's businesses, and in effect drive away anyone with the resources and gumption to build the community, they should instead police their neighborhood to ensure their children can get to school without being shot up or raped, should volunteer to tutor school kids to better their grades and prepare them for college (instead of trying to get $15 per hour working at fast -food joints), and should act as surrogate parents because so many sperm donors have ditched their families so that single-parent families are the rule and not the exception.

You want black lives to matter? Take responsibility, stop relying on hand outs, quit acting like helpless victims, and demand that your crime-driven youths need to be held accountable for their actions.
I think David is wrong as much as the next guy, but this doesn't really have much to do with the thread, or what David was actually talking about.

Augusto Pinochet, Juan Peron, Saddam Hussein, the Shah of Iran and Muammar Ghaddafi were far more liberal than those guys!

Funny, every Conservative I know keeps saying that There Is No Such Thing As A Violent Conservative™, that all acts of violence are perpetrated by Liberals, and that all of history's dictators have been left-wingers.

I said the same thing in the first page. For all my dislike of this new trend among some pseudo-liberals of getting upset about everything, I much prefer them to the religious lunatics on the other side and to the apostles of guns and haters of anything darker than off-white.

But their cries for silencing others are similar.

Isn't that, um, what these "creepy or weirdo liberals" are doing here? The main problem is the "creepy or weirdo" part, not the liberal or conservative part. Tongue

yawn...  say you what will about creepy or weido liberals.

I'll take one of those over creepy or weido conversatives.  I'd rather have some loony burning his bra and trying to get me to go veggie and splashing paint on fur coats rather than expunging hate on anyone that doesn't think, act or f**k as they do.  Therein lays the way to totalitariasm.  We jokingly call our right wing neo-nazi's.

only half jokingly.  PETA rules.... saving animals beats lynching blacks and sending in the black helicopters to deport illegal aliens and flying over the 20 foot walls we have built around our borders in my book. Hopefully yours.....
