It's a wonderful city.
I went when I was 17 though. That was before the floods and acceptance into the EU. I still have some Krona too. Not that I'd be able to use them, mind you. Definitely navigate yourself toward Karlóvy Most (Carlos Bridge). It's an absolute must. Edited by James - June 24 2009 at 17:29 |

I also want to go to Magyarország one day. My brother's been to Budapest. The lucky guy.
I've been to Česká republica and specifically Praha and Terezin. |

Yep. I always pronounced them as Linkoping and Norrkoping. It wasn't until my mate corrected me that I was even aware they weren't pronounced that way.
Rob, Finnish is even worse. |

Yes. Finno-Ugric (pronounced /ˌfɪnoʊˈjuːɡrɪk/) is a group of languages in the Uralic language family, comprising Finnish, Estonian, Hungarian and related languages. It comprises the Finno-Permic and Ugric language families. |

Interesting. There's a place called Juterbog somewhere (forget where), does the name have similar etymology? |

Quite true. Finnland is closer to Rus' origins than Scanian ones. Sure they, have their Scandinavians there as well but most of those originate from Sverige. |

True. I did say Nordic, though. Ultimately, I don't know what country I'd choose. A visit should happen first. And getting a life should happen first also. I'm still keen on Switzerland. |

Finland isn't really a part of Scandinavia according to quite a few. Not the same ancestry, language history etc. Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Iceland are the "true" Scandinavian countries. |
