She's clearly just going for a reaction, it fails to be funny or entertaining, pretty sad effort

To coach a club ( like Liverpool) is a different buissniss then collecting a squad as a manager for a national team squad, just saying, two very different skillsett are required.

Are you referring to CHEMISTRY? That is what England cannot figure out because the old boy network (The English Football Federation, or Old FF aka OFF) still rules Britannia. Time for a massive youth influx and go for broke , get a Colombian manager who will teach the lads to dance and enjoy their game! Guess what will happen? Better results for one and pride in the way they play (ably demonstrated by the USA) .

I certainly don't want Hodgson sacked, he picked the best players he could and they under performed as usual. I don't listen to any of the crap players say pre-tournament, its so much hot air. What I don't like is him asking Gerrard to stay on. I'd drop all the older players and play all kids for Euro 16. Get them all used to playing with each other and getting some team understanding.

Brilliant World Cup. Still recovering from the high adrenalin match that the Belgians played yesterday against the US (hurrah, they're through ) And I don't care who stuffs who, as long as it is done in style. (And as long as The Netherlands or Belgium win the tournament )

Who said fans? many of the senior players in the England team were clearly on hallucinogenics of demonstrable toxicity: Gerrard, Lampard (wtf), Rooney, Lambert (wtf) Johnson (wtf) Milner (wtf) Henderson (wtf) Smalling (wtf) Jones (wtf) Jagielka (wtf) The counter argument to the merits of the foregoing runs something like this: Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard have won 114 and 106 caps respectively for their country!!! So how good does that make them exactly? as they've been for a team that has won precisely nothing for 48 years. Yes I know that many of the foregoing squaddies didn't play in Brazil 2014 but such an eventuality would have made an already bad situation even worse. You are correct that the fans expectations were very low and I thought they gave their team fantastic support throuighout. There is now a growing clamor in the media for Hodgson to be sacked. Ask yourself the question: who else was Roy supposed to select that would have enhanced his limited pool of talent's chances? (Walcott was injured but he's sh*te and I'm an Arsenal fan while Ashley Cole's experience may have provided a counterbalance to the dereliction of defensive duties personified by Rooney - never mind Cameroon - Baines should have head butted Wayne) All said it's been a brilliant World Cup so far and let's hope that Colombia stuff the overhyped, overpaid and over sexed Brazilians. |

Mexico & Chile brought it on themselves by stopping attacking and playing to hang onto the one goal lead and penalties respectively. They should have both remained more positive.
Don't know about the anti-football of Italy, I just thought they weren't very good. Don't know why you think England fans were delusional, all the ones I talked to thought we wouldn't get out of the group and that we suffered from a bad mix of lack of talent, a feww old past it players and bunch of youngsters lacking experience.
Costa Rica got their reward for a battling performance but Greece were really the better team for an hour once they got a man up. The USA's lack of technical ability was shown up and if Howard hadn't had a blinder it would have been a rout. Happy to see Uruguay gone with the loathsome Suarez and delusional conspiracy theories.
Brazil - Colombia looks a beaut & I wouldn't be surpirsed if Colombia win that one, here's hoping, they've been one of the most entertaining sides in the tournament.
Germany - France also has all the makings of a classic, I'm hoping France progress as they have been the more attractive team and I hate the flopping Muller.
Netherlands will probably be too strong for Costa Rica but we've said that before so who knows, I'd love to see Robben gone but I like the rest of their team.
Argentina - Belgium looks really well balanced, I might just take Belgium unless Messi turns in an inspired performance.

I must admit I feel more than a pang of sympathy for the fates of
Mexico, Chile and Switzerland (they didn't deserve to lose against
Netherlands, Brazil and Argentina respectively) Major kudos are also due
to the Costa Rica and USA teams who showed what can be achieved with a
squad blessed with fairly modest technical abilities but brilliant
organisation and shed-loads of feisty zest and camaraderie. Good
riddance to the pampered vermin Suarez and his apologists, Uruguayan or
otherwise. Good riddance to the delusional English and their clueless
bigoted media, good riddance to the cynical anti football of the
Italians. France v Germany looks like being a humdinger and it's maybe a
pity that both are destined to meet at the quarter finals stage. I
really believe that Colombia will give Brazil the pasting they have
somehow avoided to date. Belgium are starting to look like the side many
predicted would do well (even though they haven't really performed to
their potential until the latter stages of the USA game so far) All
said, there is no overriding force trampling everything in their wake so
it's really up for grabs. (and that makes it an exciting tournament)

What's he got tattooed on his backside: the face of a girl who broke his heart? the registration number of the car in which he failed his driving test? the crest of a club who turned him down as a trainee? the face of a bouncer who refused him entry to a nightclub? what a complete w**ker. |

Yeah, it was a good journey. An inferior team that overperformed versus England... Americans will forget about it, but England will not, just like one of my English friends didn't forget the penalty kick loss to Portugal 8 years ago...
