Matt's never seen it, nor the sequel and he also has no idea who Dana Carvey is.
He's full of fail. That fail boat not only has come in, it's sunk as well. All on board have been taken to the Island of Fail where the ponies live. |

It sounds a little muddy, don't know if that's intentional (probably not if neoprog). The drums are pretty balanced with themselves, but could maybe stand to be a bit louder. Synths sound pretty decent. edit: everything sounds to be in the right "place" Edited by Triceratopsoil - July 20 2011 at 01:01 |

Indeed. Spirited Away is one of Ghibli's finest. It's also got a super deceptive central theme.

I won't rule it out. Also there are some definite wrong notes so that might be it. I seriously just bullsh*tted that out and I need to transcribe it and make it fit harmonically.
Nigga you know how it be. |

Mix is pretty good, the drums aren't bad for single mic. I'd say a tiny bit more low-end would benefit the bass, but it all sounds good to me other than that. You guitar playing isn't bad, sounds like you're way out of tune though. Neoprog as f**k, btw. |

Dudesirs, please download this clip (1:41) and let me know what you think about the mix. I'm definitely aware most won't like the style of the music, and try to ignore that not everything is perfectly in time and that my guitar playing sucks ass. I want to get feedback on EQ, placement of instruments in the field, relative presence of instruments etc. Tracks are:
-Drums (one mic--all I got) -Bass -Solo guitar -Lead synth -Background synth I think I did pretty well with the drums considering it was only one mic. Also, this is all in audacity. I think My EQ would be a lot better with some better quality plug-ins for sure.
