Great new psych Krautrock band PAPIR. Recommended to fans of Guru Guru, Ash Ra Tempel, Future Kings of England and just music that is dripping down the walls with improvisation and acid.
They just released their second album called Stundum.

Agree completely.  I saw them last night at my tiny middle of nowhere school and came away quite impressed.

Great!  Hmm, maybe I should actually say something about it... it's in the prog fusion vein, very influenced by the first Bruford and UK albums, with touches of Focus.  It's rather eclectic and hyper but also thematically unified, loosely structured as one large suite.  The production style is very classic and analog.  Or at least, that's all what I was going for Sleepy

Hey everyone, hope you don't mind a bit of on topic SPAM- I have been reading these forums and saw this topic and thought you might like to check out my project from a few years back:

http://trurl.bandcamp.com/

For a time it is also available for a streaming preview at www.progstreaming.com

Hope I'm not stepping on any toes by making this my inaugural post.  Cheers!

Not strictly prog, but amazing skramz with some proggy turns if you're into that sort of stuff. First track is my song of the year so far.

This band is great. Sounds like Leg End-era Henry Cow meets Dave Holland Big Band meets something else I forgot.

Could this thread be stickied? It's definitely more active and IMO more interesting right now than the other stickied recommendation threads from this section.

They are listed on PA as cross-over progressive. Thumbs Up

Yep, I second this recommendation. I found them a few days ago and they went straight into the playlist for today's show! Big smile
