Seen Coming To America twice, but over a long time. He was sued for plagiarism btw. Williams has his moments - quote about from him about Canada's relationship with the US - " a normal, happy family living above a meth lab." He made a good creep in One Hour Photo. But I can understand the hate. Or not care about it. Just enjoy hate for what it is. Carrey? Last great American comic actor may have been either of the Johns Candy or Belushi.
But I have odd sensibilities. I thought the last Die Hard was too tender and sentimental. I like the Saw movies as warm-hearted and relaxing (just watched all 7...). Thrash metal relaxes me to sleep / boredom... |

I haven't watched any of these more than once. So I'll go for the
'None of these' option. |

Thumbs up to Ace Ventura.
Coming to America is alright but I prefer Trading Places as far as Eddie Murphy goes. Hate Mrs. Doubtfire, hate Robin Williams |

I didn't find any of these movies particularly funny. But I cannot stand Jim Carrey and his stale antics far more than Williams or Murphy. Actually, Robin Williams was hilarious as "King of the Moon" in The Adventures of Baron Munchausen.

When he rides, my fears subside.
For darkness turns once more to light. Through the skies, his white horse flies. To find a land beyond the night. |

yeah the Martin/Pink Panther thing was a disaster, I think co-star Kevin Kline would've made a much better Clouseau (though the script stunk)

I haven't seen Ace Ventura, but I agree about the other two movies. I was disappointed about both.

I did like Mrs Doubtfire when I saw it years back. But not good for a gazillion times. Naked Gun series, on the other hand, would be worth it every time.

Aye. There are some roles it's better to walk away from, Clouseau was definitely one of them.

I lose much of my love for Steve Martin when he dared take on a Peter Sellers' role...

not thrilled with the list, but I guess Ace Vent-- most of Woody's films still hold up, and Tropic Thunder comes to mind
