Post of the year so far - one question though; being a Yamyam, would dark mild be involved occasionally; after a boat load of us hit the Bull & Bladder followed by The Lamp in Dudley, we found out why several blokes in the confined space of a narrow boat should never be made up 100% of those who love dark mild. |

For those of you who are gluten and/or dairy intolerant, this book has a lot of good recipes even if you don't want to do the diet -

Neither. I just have an ambivalent relationship with carbohydrates that is commonly known as diabetes.

I think I have to rephrase my sentence: is there anyone who could ONLY eat food WITH gluten and/or milk? |

Of course - one of the most common food allergies is to peanuts.

Is there anyone who could be allergic to food NOT containing gluten and/or milk?

I don't think it's IBS or anything like that - there's no pain or bloating associated with it...The only people who actually suffer with it are those within about 10 yards of me on the leeward side! I've been the same ever since I left the uterus to be honest - the midwife whacked me sharply on the back when she pulled me out expecting me to burp, and I dropped her a massive raspberry which almost caused her to drop me too! My first ever words were 'more tea, vicar?', & I used to play trombone in my old school band...except I didn't actually have a trombone!!

So a bowl of Wheaties with milk would be right out.

Never liked those bloody things. They're almost bearable with half a bag of sugar on them, but even then I can think of 1000 other things I'd rather eat at breakfast time. I seem to remember they always gave me really bad heartburn as a kid. Most other wheat products don't affect me in that way. |

Simple, with their eyes closed Sorry about that I'm not a weetabixologist, but I think it depends on how you eat them. Here is a help desk site on how to eat Weetabix, I found that on the internet It's quite funny, there seems to be advise for everything BTW I have no food intolerancies, I'm quite happy about that

That looks just horrible, how do people eat that?

Milk intolerant. But I eat cheese and drink milk. I don't care. I'm manly enough for this.

I'm neither but I've known people who are one or the other.
One friend of mine has a wheat/gluten allergy so bad she has to carry an 'Eppipen' (sp?) to administer an adrenalin shot if she is exposed to the allergens. Wheat/gluten free food is also so expensive - and mostly disgusting to eat - but in the UK you have to have a diagnosis of Coelliacs disesase to get it on prescription, IIRC. |

Might be worth checking to see if you have IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome?) I have suffered with this for about 18 months and fart like a burst Zeppelin after eating anything. Edited by ExittheLemming - January 10 2014 at 00:57 |

I suggest I may be gluten intolerant via blood test (radioallergosorbent test) but actually no problem to eat pasta.
