I've seen The Iron Giant, but no I didn't cry.
When he rides, my fears subside.
For darkness turns once more to light.
Through the skies, his white horse flies.
To find a land beyond the night.

Somehow the Iron Giant didn't really connect with me that much on an emotional level (the Ghibli films do far more).  This is the first I heard that Vin Diesel voiced the (non-Andre-the) Giant.
Pete Townsend created a musical on the Iron Giant based on the novel, and is listed as producer of the movie as well, but moslty becouse he would not let them produce unless his name was on it. (or something like that  Tongue)

I'll stop now and go sit on the naughty bench.

Let's get back to brass tax here.

LOL Booze and cinema doesn't work well. I celebrated a J-day (The day where Tuborg every year starts selling their famous Christmas beer in DenmarkBig smile Like every other made up day, it ends up with most Danes using it as an excuse to drink themselves senseless. Full karate drunk) with a friend of mine ending up in the cinema. We'd been partying all day in the streets of Copenhagen, and then decided to catch a flick. Must've been a tuesday or something like that, because the theatre was empty. Oh well, that meant we could bring in our beers without people getting all fuzzy about it. It was the new Halloween movie (H20 from 98 - yeah I was 16) and I can't remember much of it tbh. We spent most the time running around on the aisles like some insane chipmunksLOL What's even worse - we decided to see another one right after! Doctor Doolittle 2, of which I have zero recollection, but it was fun.

Oh you're a man. Just show her your appendage and she'll come aroundTongue

didn't work she still wants me to watch the other 13 fast and furious movies Dead

Maybe you have to show it to her some place warm?Clown

Anyway, reverse the situation on her, and tell her that she isn't a real woman. She'll need to watch some adult movies with you in order to become one - and then you pop on the porn.

Clap david got moves! what a twist!  Or even sexier yet we could watch all the extended editions of lord of the rings in a row!!

Bingo! You're getting the hang of this pretty quickly, and may I say: what a marvellous idea with some Ford of the Zings. Women love that! Sci fi battles with elves and dwarves - oh yeah. And you can make small suggestions during the flick, asking her if she wouldn't feel more like a woman, if she went ahead and got some upper ear extensions and sword fighting lessons in order to look more like Liv Tyler, y'know a real womanWink

Yeah well maybe that one time when I paid to go see Fats and ze Furios in the cinema. It should've been the other way around: they should've paid people to go see that. Wow what a bad movie - and Wine Diesel didn't exactly raise the bar either.
that mean you not have seen the Iron Giant

I have seen it Agi - I work with kids rememberWink Didn't make me cry though - even if I thought is was pretty good. Last cartoon that made me cry was Bambi - must've been 5.
Bambi and Dumbo is tearjerkers, so emotionaly movies,

but Iron Giant is like Bambi, but with a giant 30 meter robot instead of a deer (Rådyr)

I get what you're saying - and I kinda agree. Only problem though is that I'm not 5 anymore... Very few things make me cry nowadays.
Last time I did so was because the family cat Speedy had to be put down. This was an animal that I've known and cherished for over 13 years, so it was a natural thing. Movies however very seldom make me tear up, but maybe that's down to the s.h.i.t.e. most tv networks decide to air. "Air Force One? Why yes, what a wonderful idea!!!! Let's air that sucker again! And while we're at it, then let's throw in a Matrix and Star Wars cavalcade, so people don't forget what they saw last week."Ermm
