I've been drinking pu-erh tea lately and think it could possibly become one of my favorite kinds.

Assam or Lady Grey + a tiny drop of milk for preference here, although I do like roiboos (redbush) with a slice of lemon occasionally

Good, freshly brewed, unadulterated (as in "without any additives") green tea is the first choice. Good black tea with some Stevia (to take the edge off the bitterness) is the second choice. Beats any other hot drink, if you ask me.

Occasionally, a slice a lemon is allowed; at the same time, any dairy products in tea (which is a common thing in the UK) amount to blasphemy Stern Smile

I prefer Indian tchai. So creamy and spicy.
I am more of a coffee dude, drinking tea usually has to do with getting wasted. Been a while though...

All tea. Tea is the best.
I am currently digging:

Hawkwind, Rare Bird, Gong, Tangerine Dream, Khan, Iron Butterfly, and all things canterbury and hard-psych. I also love jazz!

Please drop me a message with album suggestions.

I mainly drink green tea but occasionally like a Lapsang Souchong or Earl Grey for an afternoon pick-me-up - no milk or sugar added.

I was bored, so I decided to find out which is overall the preferred type of tea among proggers.

I vote black.
Hardly the first poll on the subjectWink

for ex:

when drinking it hot, I prefer green tea, but when making my own ice tea, I always (or often) use black tea

In either case , a bit of sugar (rarely honey)... never milk

and always lemon  if I add anything else in black tea

With green tea, I can add a licorice stick or a cinamon wood shaving... And these things can be used a few dozens of times... they still give
let's just stay above the moral melee
prefer the sink to the gutter
keep our sand-castle virtues
content to be a doer
as well as a thinker,
prefer lifting our pen
rather than un-sheath our sword

^ Oolong is a sort of cross between Green and Black teas, with Black tea being completely oxidized, and Green not at all. Oolong is partially oxidized. As for the literal colour of the leaves and finished product, it is a greenish colour.
